THE WAR

TITAN

"Our will?" On cue, Valeria force jumped out of the wall she was hiding from, connecting with the incoming ship Tony had managed to scavenge out, adding more force to her usual telepathy to inflict more pain when it landed on Thanos. "See Quill, piece of cake." The rest of the team followed their lead as they left the positions Strange and Tony ordered them to be in, ready to fight a fight they weren't sure if they could win. Valeria didn't even have to ask Stephen for Peter to be kept a distance from her, he couldn't risk Valeria's emotions to clash with her powers and manipulate the real plan they had chosen.

"Yeah, if you wanted to piss him off." And that is exactly what Valeria and Tony had managed to do, Val quickly sensing the anger coming from the villain with the usage of the power stone coming to play right after. Crushing the ship into multiple pieces, Valeria shifted her force powers towards the pieces that were being directed towards Tony, pushing them to the ground. She had countered Thanos' attack towards Tony, feeling his utter shock mixed with frustration as he didn't know who had just done so.

"Okay, kid. Stay put, save the energy to help Mantis once we got him held back." Tony and Strange had decided to try to preserve Valeria as much as they could, more so fearing what could result in a Thanos vs Force showdown. She knew that she was a danger to the plan, sure, she had learned how to control her emotions and powers. But nothing could prepare her to face a situation like this. Tony's guilt over Peter and Valeria's presence in this battle had shaken off of him, if only he knew just how severe this actually was.

Running through the ruins of Titan, Valeria was able to block out the noises that the abandoned home planet of Thanos contained. After overhearing what he had done to his own home, to his own people, the noises all made sense to Val. The souls of those who died were still present, their never ending pain from the moment Thanos brought his plan to life to their very extinction. Strange secretly implanted a spell to shield her from the noises, to give her mind a rest. She could only hope it wouldn't wear off when it came down to the worst.

Valeria's eyes shifted towards the action enfolding before her, her heart speeding up every time Peter appeared from one of Strange's portals and hitting Thanos with a kick and punch. In typical Spider-Man fashion, adding his signature witty comments that not even space was free from. It was short lived, Valeria letting out a gasp at witnessing Thanos grab a hold of Peter and slamming him down to the floor. You could say Strange wasn't counting on that.

"Insect." Lifting his fist that held the gauntlet to land a punch, or even worse, on Peter, it was met halfway with a glowing plasma blade. "For someone acting so smart you should know spiders aren't insects." Masking the inevitable nerves running through her as she stood face to face with Thanos, Valeria tightened the grip on her lightsaber, a bit too shocked that it managed to stop the raging Titan's hand.
