THE SOUL WORLD

"You want us to... what now?" Matt Murdock didn't know what Valeria had in mind when she mentally sent an order to the heroes present in the soul world to gather together. Their training had advanced so quickly, Matt would dare say she was ready to do what needed to be done, although he wouldn't tell the girl. It was all too much to take in: from trying to break a barrier between two worlds without a mad titan sensing it and standing in front of fallen Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Peter Quill had been the one to speak up, although it was obvious the rest were biting their tongues to also chime in. Valeria's eyes glanced at those right beside him, Mantis and Drax. They had hoped they would find Gamora: she was the reason Thanos had even obtained the soul stone. It didn't take them too long to realize that for that very reason, she was stuck in his own soul world. Strange sternly said they weren't going to risk their own well being to try to bring one person back, much to the dismay of Quill.

"The soul world is held together by emotional connections with those on the opposite side, at least mine is. Strange and Hank Pym are working together to build communication but... I think I can build one faster. But I just need you all to think of those you left behind, think positively about them. The more emotion, the more powerful this connection can become." Valeria and Matt knew her words sounded like something right out of a poetry book, they weren't going to be surprised if the fallen heroes didn't listen. After all, Matt knew whatever the young girl felt for the boy she had spent hours talking about was strong enough to withstand anything.

"That sounds like nonsense." The accent rang through Valeria's ears, who let out a sigh. The red-orange haired witch came to sight, her face holding days of despair and frustration. "What we have to do is go head to head against that... monster. You have the upper hand against him."

"Wanda, it's not that simple."

Wanda scoffed, Valeria trying her best to not take it personally. She knew what the woman had to go through, who she lost when she went face to face against Thanos. Yet, she still came out in the losing side of it. Valeria refused to be that stubborn, but she needed everyone's help.

"I know what difficult is, Valeria. I had to k— kill the person I love, all because we tried to come up with some complex plan. We have nothing to lose." Matt placed his hand gently on the girl's shoulder, feeling her heartbeat begin to rise. As if on cue, Valeria took a deep breath in, focusing on relaxing her emotions: she couldn't throw away everything she had learned to make this happen. She had to prove to them that she could make this happen.
