"I'll bring you home. It's been so long. We're fighting the light back to where we belong."

NEW YORK CITY
Peter Parker found himself struggling to figure out how to put into words what he was planning ask Manny Casillas. He didn't want to bring his hopes up just to be let down, something Peter himself was trying to avoid. But after some reassurance from Tony and Shuri, he concluded that anything that could bring them closer to victory at this point is fair game.
Only a block away from Manny's restaurant, Peter felt his phone start to vibrate in his jean pocket. Fishing it out, the "Harry Osborn" being displayed in his phone screen felt like it glaring back to Peter. The boy felt a bit guilty at the lack of communication he's had with not only Harry, but the rest of his best friends. They were all still mourning and dealing with the loss of Valeria, but Peter's distance was beginning to worry them more, especially Ned. MJ and Harry were kept in the dark due to Peter trying to avoid more people finding out about his identity. Ned, on the other hand, couldn't understand why his best friend was keeping the truth away from him.
With all that taken into consideration, Peter pressing decline and stuffing his phone to his back pocket wasn't the smartest decision to make. He just wanted to keep his mind clear, focus on the important goal of building this bridge between the two worlds. To bring them back, bring her back.
Pushing open the restaurant door, Peter couldn't believe his luck once the sight of Harry, MJ, and Ned became visible. They all sat in the stools nearest to Manny, who held an apologetic look. Harry had his phone in his right hand, the screen displaying the missed call he'd just gotten from his best friend.
"Don't even try to say you didn't feel your phone, Parker. I can see it popping out of your pocket." Michelle was always one step ahead of Peter, something he'd always found amusing. But it was times like this that it ticked a nerve or two. Harry switched his phone off, motioning Peter to sit on the stool besides him. Sighing out quietly, he listened and took the seat, trying to ignore the beading eyes all on him.
"Dude, this is like, the 20th missed call you've given me. Probably a hundred of them if you combine the three of us. You've skipped school at least a handful of times since—" Harry stopped himself, breathing out heavily as he realized where his words were going.
"That's why, Osborn. Cause Val isn't here. Parker, we all miss her. But we're worried about you. You haven't even opened up about what happened. It's scaring us." Michelle softened her voice this time, not only wanting Peter to know that they all shared his pain of losing Valeria, but that they're there for him.
