iwaizumi held oikawa in his arms, hugging him so tight that he wished that oikawa could get the message of how much he was not willing to let him go. how he was unwilling to let oikawa slip through his fingers.

"i'm sorry!" iwaizumi cried, burying his face into the bleeding boy's shoulder, "i should've treated you better, i shouldn't have—"

"ssh, iwa-chan," oikawa said in a gentle voice that reminded him of the gentle breeze of spring wind, wrapping his arms around the boy slowly, "it's okay. i'm... not going anywhere..."

iwaizumi said nothing. just cried and cried into the boy's shoulder, letting out long drawn-out cries until his throat went raw and his voice went scratchy.
