Weeks passed and after many trips back and forth to the hospital Brooklyn was finally declared fit enough to return to school.
"I never thought I'd be happy about going to school," Brooklyn said as she looked up at the miserable looking building in front of her.
Brandon laughed and shut the door to his car. "I'm glad you're back, B."
"I should say it's good to be back," Brooklyn said. "But it's not. I mean it's great that I'm able to come back and I'm glad I am, but I'm really not looking forward to French first period."
Brandon rolled his eyes. "Oh the struggles you have in your life," he said sarcastically. "Come on, let's get inside."
Brandon ending up leaving Brooklyn as soon as she set foot inside the building. He got sick of the amount of people approaching Brooklyn to see how she was. He wasn't a fan of lots of people and Brooklyn told him to leave her.
"You're back soon," Austin said to Brooklyn when he noticed her by her locker.
"Fast healer me," Brooklyn grinned. "Is Sasha here yet?"
"Yeah, I picked her up. She just went to talk to one of her teachers," Austin nodded. "How are you? I know that Sasha is so sorry about what happened-"
"It's not her fault," Brooklyn said. "And I've told her that."
"I wish everyone saw it your way," Austin said and looked over Brooklyn's shoulder.
"I don't even need to look," Brooklyn sighed. "It's Harry, isn't it?"
"It is, and seeing as he still blames the girl I happen to really like I think I'm going to leave. I would love to punch him if I didn't think him or Greyson would kill me if I did."
Brooklyn groaned. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I'm glad you're okay, Brooke," Austin smiled. "See you at lunch."
Brooklyn nodded and turned round as Harry walked up to her with Greyson.
"So this is why you've blocked yourself from me," Harry said and leaned against the lockers. "You're back at school."
"And I didn't want you fussing," Brooklyn said.
"The accident was only a few weeks ago-"
"And I'm better now," Brooklyn said. "I'm pain free. I'm fine."
"I don't need to be in your head to know you're lying, babe," Harry said.
"Even I can tell you're lying, Brooklyn," Greyson said and raised an eyebrow.
"You, shut it," Brooklyn said sternly to Greyson and she looked at Harry. "I'm well enough to be at school. End of."
"Did your mate just tell me to shut it?" Greyson asked slowly and looked between Harry and Brooklyn.
"Yes-"
Harry covered Brooklyn's mouth. "Shut it," he said to Brooklyn. "Get over it, Greyson, and expect it from her."
"Watch how you speak to me, Brooklyn," Greyson said.
Brooklyn pushed Harry's hand away. "Or what?" She asked.
"Guys," Harry snapped. "Enough."
"First day back and you're already making both of us angry, Brooklyn," Greyson tutted. "It's not off to a good start, is it?"
The bell rang and Brooklyn sent Greyson a look. "I've got to go to class."
"Let's go," Harry said to Brooklyn.
