Greyson had let Oscar in and took him to his office. Harry and Brooklyn entered a few minutes after and Brooklyn saw Oscar sitting on the chair opposite Greyson's desk.

"Sit down," Harry said quietly to Brooklyn and she took a seat on the couch that was pushed up against the wall. Harry walked round and stood next to Greyson, who was seated against the desk, leaning against the wall behind them and crossing his arms over his chest.

"Talk, and I'll try to not to kill you," Greyson said sharply.

"Well, you guys know I'm a werewolf," Oscar said slowly.

"How kind of you to finally admit that to us," Greyson said sarcastically. "Now, tell us something that we don't already know. How about what you're doing on my territory? You have no pack. You're a lone wolf. You need an Alpha's permission to be on their land."

Oscar swallowed. "I apologise, but I wasn't aware I was coming back to this town," Oscar said. "I left my old pack, from a few towns over, and when I did I left town. I left my home. I travelled for a while, but money problems brought me back."

"I should kill you for trespassing," Greyson said. "You know my pack isn't known for its leniency."

"Alpha, you have my sincere apologies-"

"Why did you leave your old pack?" Greyson demanded.

Oscar looked at his hands. "I was forced to leave," he admitted.

"Forced? So you were made rogue?" Greyson snapped. "That isn't done lightly. What did you do to deserve that?"

"I..." Oscar sighed. "My previous Alpha was very stuck in the old ways. He banished me from my pack because of my sexuality."

Greyson's eyebrows rose. "Your sexuality?" He repeated.

"I'm bisexual, and I believe I was wrongly kicked out. It wasn't fair, but he was my Alpha so I had to do as I was told," Oscar said.

"Well, Oscar, you're lucky that this pack does not discriminate," Greyson said and pursed his lips. "Now, tell us about Brooklyn's car crash."

Brooklyn perked up at the mention of this and Oscar glanced over his shoulder at her. "I am deeply sorry about your accident, Brooke. I never meant to cause you harm."

"What were you really doing there?" Brooklyn asked.

"I was running from a werewolf hunter," Oscar sighed. "I was the wolf you saw. I was too focused on escaping I didn't see the car before it was too late, and when the crash happened the hunter ran away, and I shifted back to human. The rest you know."

"Werewolf hunter?" Harry said. "We haven't heard of any hunters in town."

"Neither had I till the other week. He saw me for the first time and he's been hunting me ever since," Oscar explained.

"He," Greyson said. "He who?"

"I have reason to believe that the hunter is Ben."

"Oh my gosh, my boss is a werewolf hunter," Brooklyn whispered. "I couldn't get away from this world even if I tried."

Harry sent Brooklyn a look.

"What leads you to that conclusion?" Greyson asked.

"I've been keeping tabs on him. Everything adds up," Oscar said.

Greyson sighed and nodded. "And why did you not tell us this when we first questioned you?"

"I was scared," Oscar admitted. "Scared of Ben finding out. He's good. One of the best hunters I've seen."
