Chapter 9

Daryl stoped the car infront of the CDC, daryl got out of the car and came over to my side, helping me get out. Looking around, there were dead bodys everywhere

I walked next to daryl holding onto my bow, covering my nose with my hand. We slowly walked closer to the building, daryl seemed to notice me walking slowly and limping

He stoped and wraped his hand around me, helping me stand. Stoping infront of the gate doors, rick and shane tried to open it. Shane banged on the door, but nothing happened

''There's nobody here'' 

''Then why are these gates down?'' i leaned my head onto daryl's shoulder, when someone said

''Walkers'' quickly turning around daryl let go of me and shoot and arrow through a walkers head. Daryl turned around, walking towards rick

''We've got to get inside'' 

''Shut up!'' i slowly walked over to shane, pushing him away from daryl

''What do you mean shut up...you shut the heck up!'' he glared at me and turned around, walking towards rick

''Rick this is a dead end''

''Where are we going to go?'' looking at carol, i saw her holding onto sophia

''She's right, we can't stay here, after the city goes dark'' everyone started talking at once, saying how bad it is to stay here and how we should just go back

Everyone turned around to walk away, when i looked up i saw the camera above the gate move

''The camera...it moved'' rick looked at me, knowing we saw the same thing

''It didn't, your imaging things taylor'' i shook my head, walking closer to the gate

''No...it moved, it moved'' shane came next to me

''Taylor, it didn't move. We need to go, common'' he grabed onto my wrist, trying to pull me away

''Let go, i know what i saw'' i pulled my hand away, glaring at him. Rick started banging on the gates, yelling at the camera

''I know your in there, please...we're desperate, please help us, we have women and children...please'' lori came rushing over to rick, pushing him back. When he suddenly, pushed her away, not looking away from the camera

''Please open, we don't have food...PLEASE HELP US'' shane grabed onto me and rick, pulling us away. When suddenly the door opened, the bright light blinding us

We quickly walked inside, looking around...there was nobody, just emptiness. 

''Hello!'' 

''Hello!''  rick shouted, when suddenly there was a sound of a gun loading. Aiming my bow where it came from, standing there was a man, holding his gun at us. He was tall, blond hair and seemed to have blue eyes

''Is anyone infected?'' 

''One of our group was...he didn't make it'' i lowered my bow when he steped a little closer to us

''What are you doing here? What do you want?''

''A chance''

''That's asking a lot these days''

''I know...'' the man looked at everyone and stoped at me. He looked at me for a moment, closing his eyes, then looking back at rick

''You also admit to a blood test...that's the price''

''We can do that'' he lowered his gun and pointed at the door

''You've got stuff to bring in, you bring it in now. Once this door closes, it stays closed'' everyone ran outside, grabing there bags and quickly running back inside

I was leaning against the wall for sopport, when i saw daryl walking over to me carrying two bags

''Thought you might want your clothes to'' he said smirking, i smiled

''Thank you''

We followed the doctor, steping inside an elevator. I was suprised it held so much people at once, me and daryl were standing in the corner. I saw him looking at the doctor, not sure if at him or at his gun

''Doctors always go around backing heat like that?'' i chuckled, rolling my eyes. The doctor turned around smiling

''Well there where plenty left around, i've had time to familiar myself with them'' he looked at everyone

''But you look harmless enough...exept you, i've got to keep my eye on you'' he was looking at carl, making him smile

Once we were out of the elevator, we followed the doctor again

''Are we underground?'' i looked at carol a bit confused

''You claustrophobic?''

''A little''

''Try not to think about it'' we walked into a dark room, when the doctor said

''Vive (sp) bring on the lights in the big room'' just then the lights turned on, but there was nobody around

''Welcome to zone 5'' walking down to the desks

''Where the heck is everbody?'' the doctor turned around looking at me

''I'm it...it's just me here''

''What about the person you were speaking with...vive (sp)?''

''Vive (sp) welcome our guests, say welcome'' he looked at me, when there was an voice

''Hello guests, welcome'' 

''I'm all that's left...i'm sorry''
