We layed there under the car for a few more minutes, wanting to be sure, that there arn't anymore walkers
When i heard sophia start screaming, moving my head. I saw her get out from under the car and go into the forest, with two walkers following her
Without any second thought, i quickly got out from under the car and ran after her
I heard rick calling for me, telling me to stop and get back to the highway, there wasn't anyway i was going to let this little girl into the forest, with two walkers running after her alone
I stoped to see where the walkers went, when i noticed them, i quickly ran the other way
I stoped just when sophia ran into me, i quickly picked her up and started to run back. When rick almost bumped into us, making me stuble back
''Are you crazy!'' he whispered low
Rolling my eyes, hearing the walkers moans coming closer to us. Rick quickly took sophia from me and grabed onto my hand, pulling me with him
We stoped at the river, rick went down first, then helped sophia. I was about to go down myself, when my leg sliped and i fell onto rick
''You okey?'' i slowly stood up, feeling pain in my thigh
I looked at my leg and saw a big scratch, it was bleeding badly. Rick told sophia to hide under some tree branches, he kneeled down infront off me, looking at my scratch
''I'm fine'' he glared at me and splashed water onto the scratch
''Well have to fix it back on the highway'' he slowly stood up, looking behind me
I turned around seeing, those two walkers, one was about to step forward, when he fell into the water. Me and rick, quickly began running, leading them away from sophia
With my leg scratched, i couldn't run as fast as rick. He noticed and picked me up bridge style
He placed me down, behind some bushes as he grabed one big rock and hid behind a tree. Hearing moaning coming closer and closer, i pushed some leafs away, to see how far the walker was
He was going towards the tree, rick was hiding behind, when he was close enough
Rick turned around and trew the rock at the walkers head, making him fall onto the ground, he smashed the walkers head with the rock, just when the other one was coming towards him
Rick stood up and threw the rock at the other walkers head and smashed it, like he did with the other one
When he was finished he came back to me and helped me stand up, i wraped my arm around his shoulder as we walked back to where we left sophia
When we reached the spot where we left sophia, rick went to pick her up from under the tree branches. He turned around and looked at me,
''She's not here''
''Maybe she went back to the highway, like you told her'' rick nodded, he helped me out off the river and we walked back to the highway
When we reached the hill, rick picked me up again and slowly begun, making his way up the hill
I saw carol at the top, waiting for us, when she saw us, she smiled, but it quickly faded away when she noticed, that we didn't have sophia with us
Rick placed me back onto the ground, when we reached the top. Daryl quickly came over to me and hugged me, he noticed my scratch and told me to go let dale fix it. I nodded and limped over to the SUV
''Hey dale, can you help me for a moment?'' he looked at me, then noticed the scratch
He nodded and helped me into the SUV, i layed down on the bed and let him fix my scratch
Few hours later, rick came in and sat down next to me, he looked at the scratch, then into my eyes. We sat there for a while, just looking at each other, when carol came in
She started shouting at rick, telling him to go look for sophia and that he shouldn't just sit here, doing nothing. When i had heard enough, i turned my head and looked at her
''Listen carol, it's not our fault that sophia went into the forest in the first place, secondly they already looked for her and couldn't find her''
''They weren't going to stay there and look for her all night. If you can't deal with us giving our best, then you go and look for her yourself...she is your daughter after all''
she stared at me wide eyed and then turned around walking away
