It was a Wednesday midnight when EunByeol dropped her pen and stretched her arms. She sat on the chair for a moment without any movement, observing her messy study table. Only a week was left before the exams and she was studying in advance in order not to fail. For a high achiever, failure was one of her fears.

"I should go to sleep, my eyes are droopy and I can't see too clearly now." She scratched her eyes and left the table and hurriedly plopped onto the bed.

Before succumbing to sleep, the lights started flickering, the curtains was suddenly moved by the wind coming from her now opened window. She groaned and sat back up, headed towards the light switch, and turned it off (though it was already turned off. She turned it on, and then off, to see if it would fix the problem). Next was towards the window. It doesn't take an idiot to know, but before she even moved the curtains, it shocked her to see that the sky was nothing like a dark blue; it was a blood red color.

EunByeol then moved the curtains to see if she was hallucinating or not. "What, is planet Mars gonna collide with Earth? What's happening?" She dashed to her study table and searched for her phone. When she did, she turned on the flashlight and opened her bedroom door. Right now, what she could only think of was going to her parents. The brown haired female wanted to know if she ate something that caused her to hallucinate or if she was going to die, or if the planets of the solar system decided they were going to hug one another as a sign of affection.

Every time she took a step, she would look back. The poor girl was trying to see if any maids or butlers have awoken and rushed to the second floor to check on their master and mistresses but to no avail. She had also tried to turn on the other switch, but the lights would only flicker. Afraid that they might break, she stopped and relied on the flashlight of her phone instead.

This is scary, she thought. Seriously, what is happening? EunByeol got even more scared when she reached her parents' room. The door wasn't like what it usually is, but a huge snake slithering on the door, as if it was protecting the people who are inside the room.

The hallway was narrow, and the snake could've gotten her as soon as it landed its eyes on her, but it didn't. She wanted to scream, to alert other people in the house, but she couldn't. What if it suddenly attacked her because of the sudden noise? What if it only attacks where noises come from and she startled it?

The girl was confused. How did this happen in the first place!? This is ridiculous! This has got to be a prank! She screamed in her mind. Before she knew it, the snake stopped guarding the door that leads to her parents and divided into three. All of them started hissing, causing EunByeol to start backing away slowly.

"It would be useless if I run... They are faster than me, I doubt they are just gonna stand there and stare at me," she muttered to no one. If the three snakes were people, she could of easily defend herself. But no, they were snakes more than thrice her size.

Something warm wrapped around her elbows, and she couldn't help but squeak. She turned her head and saw a person, a faceless person to be more specific, holding her elbows tightly, as if it never wanted to let go. She tried to get out of its grip, but she was unfortunate.

"Don't say anything and just come with me," it said, dragging her away from the snakes and to her parents' room.

"But, but... The other people here, where are they?"

"..."

"Have you already got them out of here? Or are you gonna come back to them after me?"

"..."

Frustrated that she was not getting an answer, she shut her mouth and even if it scared her, she looked back. Two of the snakes were about to catch up to them. Though EunByeol deemed it impossible, she still swore that she saw the snakes smile deviously at her. The third snake, however, was nowhere to be found. Has it found a way to the entrance and is waiting for them there?
