Did she just say, Philosipher's ring? From what I remembered, the deer told me that in order for me to escape Reimyu and return to by numb body was to defeat the Queen and receive the ring. First of all I had no idea there was a queen in this fantasy. Wait, if there's a queen, then why is there goddess (a.k.a. my mother)? I tried connecting the dots in my mind but nothing made sense.
I spun around to look at the Jackal master who had the most determined face I'd ever known. She wasn't crying anymore thank god. I'm a sucker for crying children.
"I- I um." the jackal master just sulked her head and looked at her bare feet. Her head snapped up and she hoisted herself onto Grey's back and grumbled.
"You coming?" she asked.
I smiled. First my enemy, now my trusting comrade. I trotted over by Grey's side carrying Luna, and that's where our journey started.

It got dark out without me noticing. Me and the Jackal master laid down on some flush, fluffy cotton and just dazed at the brilliant stars. It felt kind of awkward not knowing anything about her.
"Um, excuse me," I began awkwardly. The jackal master looked over.
"I know this is kind of late, but what's your name?" The master flicked her head the other way aggressively. I guess she didn't want me knowing. Was it embarrassing? I thought of the most embarrassing name I could think of. Hagardath, Rumrum, Chumy...
"Harold?" I whispered. No answer
"Wedgie?" I whispered again. No answer
"Hump-ma-fries?" I whispered raising one eyebrow. The young girl turned back to meet me eye to eye. I pursed my lips together and my eyes flashed open, kind of like a fish. Could she be.. Hump-ma-fries?!
"Miss," her eyes dull. I felt stupid. Of course not!
"I'm not someone who goes around and spreads my name so easily. I go by a title, the jackal master."
I sighed and thought for a bit. Could she possibly be like me? Not knowing my name? I stuttered a bit before anything could come out.
"D-does your.. sister know?" Dammit. Why did I say that out of all things.
Her eyes expanded then froze completely still.
"How. do. you. know. her?" taking a breath after each word.
"Well, you kept on muttering Haily over and over again when you fell asleep just earlier."
I tried to prevent her from getting mad again, I don't need any more arrows in my face again.
"Well, she's gone now."
I frowned, trying to make her at least a bit happy.
"She has a beautiful name. Did you know that Haily usually means deep blue sea or heroine?"
The kid pulled out her necklace from her beige tube-top. It was an enormous aquamarine crystal almost as big as my bit thumb with a brown rectangular thread with a not holding it together.
"I know." She still had no expression. Just dull.. plain.. simple.
"Mind telling me your name now?" I asked curiously.
"No, only Haily knows." then she closed her eyes still gripping onto her necklace. I guess thinking about her.
"I know this will be hard but how about, I be your new older sister. I'll promise to take care of you." I stated. I sounded warm and blissful. She just looked back at me almost smirking. If I were her mother i'd slap her, but I guess that's not the best things to do right now.
