I woke up to Kalie standing directly in front of me, holding a flashlight to my face.

I rolled my huge eyes, watching her.

"So, you are telling me that you are the shy black kid Mitchel?" That's not how I would phrase it, but yes. I couldn't answer because my muzzle was still bound. I nodded.

"Ok. So you indicated that you ate Markov and turned into....this." I nodded again. "How?" I glared at her. "Oh, sorry, but I'm not freeing you." My eyes widened in rage. I trembled with that rage. I tried to snarl, but I couldn't. "I'm not because you will probably try to kill me, succeed, and try to destroy the world." My emotions were being played with here like silly putty. This offended me so much that I actually wanted to do those things....proving her right. I hate this, completely and utterly.  "Fine, but just your mouth." She said after I gave her a pleading look. She untied the knot, freeing my jaw. I cracked it.

"So," I said.  "I ate Markov after I turned into the creature you see now."

"How did you become this way?"

"I annoyed a wizard by watching him."

"There is only one wizard left in the world, and he was killed two days ago."

"The same day I became a dragon, killed Markov, and came here," I replied with mild sass.

"You killed the wizard?"

"Yep." No guilt. I thought for a second, raising my eyes upward.

"Why did you come here?"

"Because you would go in public, begging for help, as a dragon? One of the only ones left in the world?" I asked. She shrugged.

"No, probably not." She said. Kalie watched me curiously.

"What?" I demanded. She kept staring at me.

"I just was thinking."

"While staring intently into my forehead?"

"I guess. I just zoned out."

"Can you help me?" I asked.

"How?" She stared. I tried to figure out which eye to stare at, they were both in way different places. She flicked off the flashlight. The sun shone into my cavern enough so she could see me.

"I don't know, help restore me to my human form?" I said, mildly annoyed.

"Well, how? You killed the last wizard." She snapped.

"There must be a cure."

"We are friends, right?" That was kind of random.

"Yeah....?" I replied, slightly confused.

"Ok good."

"Whaaaat?" I asked, even more confused.

"I didn't think I had friends. Sure, I'll help you." The ropes binding me flew off, and I stretched my numb ankles and wrists, flexing my muscles after. She watched me.

"So now what?" I asked her.

"We need to get you out of here." She replied.

"Climb on my back," I muttered.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Would you like a ride? GET ON." I said, aggravated. She climbed between one of my spikes as I walked out of my cave, taking flight. I flew upwards and into the sky like a huge scaly bird. She held onto my horns tightly, pulling them like a steering wheel. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"To Ice."

"Ice?"

"Short for a priest named Isis. She's friendly and knows about dragons."

"No," I said, afraid.

"What? Why?"

"Humans attack me," I said, even more afraid. I pictured myself getting shot out of the sky by a huge spear covered with dragonsbane. Nooooo.

"No, they won't."

"Yes, they will." I insisted.

"What? I can't understand you."

"THEY WILL HURT ME!" I cried out.

"Speak English!"

"I AM!"

"I cannot understand you." We landed at the edge of the woods. I spoke to her.

"The. Humans. Will. Hang. My. Head. Off. Of. The. Kingdom. Walls." I said simply.

"I..you are speaking dragon." I roared in aggravated anger. She rolled her eyes again. Kalie, I really cannot deal with you.
