kyungmi had this idea, that making breakfast for seugyoon on the next morning would be a good idea- besides that seungyoon never ate breakfast.

but when he actually got up that morning, kyungmi thought that he looked too ill to allow him to go to work.

so they sat on the sofa, legs tangled, while they looked at each other's face for the longest time.

"you lost so much weight, it looks like you didn't eat at all during those two months." stated kyungmi, a hint of concern in her voice.

but seungyoon just rolled his eyes and smiled. "how am i supposed to eat, when you don't make me food, because we're arguing?"

"dear god, yoon! you're still an independent human being!" groaned kyungmi.

"but your food is still the best!" whined seungyoon and they both started laughing until he caught his breathe first. "damn, i missed this a lot."

kyungmi nodded in agreement. "you're so precious. but could we make a promise?"

"whatever you want." said seungyoon in a soft voice. it's not like i still have anyone else besides her...

"how about we promise that we will never let any guy get in between our friendship? and we will always cheer each other up and not push them away, like i did? i'm still sorry for that though."

"i'll be more than happy to promise that." so they held out their hands for a cheesy pinky promise.

after a while kyungmi continued. "and i also promise not to force you into anymore dates with guys, who i think you'd look cute with."

a loud sigh escaped seungyoon's mouth. "thank you! it always made me feel so awkward."

his best friend pouted her lips at his statement. "but you and taehyun looked like the dream couple!"

suddenly seungyoon's mood collapsed. "he really was beautiful, but i could never love him back the way he loved me and i still feel so bad about it."

softly kyungmi touched his arm. "sorry for bringing this up again, but don't forget that there are always two people in a relationship."

her words somehow made seungyoon feel at ease, so he smiled again.

later kyungmi had to leave for work and when she came back at night, she found that seungyoon was still awake.

"can we sleep in the living room and pretend it's a sleepover?" he asked excitedly and kyungmi didn't have the heart to disagree, but still nudged him for being such a kid.

now there's only us again she thought and although it shouldn't be, it just feels so right.
