Prologue

In a place, very much like ours yet much different from ours, the balance of six elements lay in six books guarded and hid away from the common eye. Each book contains secrets that would grant the owner powers that only one could imagine of. A power that would only be granted to those who were to be crowned the next king or queen of that realm, the only thing keeping them from obtaining that power is finding those chosen to wield it.

To narrow down the choices children are put into four guilds. There are soldiers, the ones trained specifically for combat and the battle field, all brawn and sometimes no brain. Then the messengers, these like the soldiers are trained for combat, but are a little smarter at times, knowing where to go and how to get there, they deliver messages that may or may not be important. Next, are the sorcerers, the ones that can manipulate the minds eye using training techniques that are sacred and secret. Then lastly are the riders an elite force that only few are chosen to be. The riders are a combination of the other three guilds, using their home element and skills that only they could master, magic so complex a sorcerer would tremble at its power.

The realms’ dwellers age differently than us humans, but a minute here is a minute there, a day here is a day there and a year there is a year there. Time is the same here and there, the people though, even with looking very similar to us are very different. Their bodies age and embrace time very, very differently from ours.

Now there are six realms that are based on the six elements. The realm of Light, these are the people that can bend the light around them and turn it into anything. The realm of Darkness, these people are not afraid of the dark they are much like those from the realm of Light but yet totally different from them, they bend the darkness around them to into a more fearsome form. Then are the four elemental realms, the realm of Fire, these usually are the more aggressive and headstrong ones, who aren’t afraid of a fight. Then the realm of Water, these benders are more relaxed and go with the flow ones, yet they’re very passionate about what they love and what they know is right. Next, the realm of Earth, these benders like Fire realm dwellers are headstrong but when it comes to animals and such they know the most. Lastly, the realm of Air, these benders are wise at times and like Water realm dwellers they can be very relaxed but they aren’t afraid to fight either.

Let the journey to find these books, that contain such power, begin. We’ll start from the beginning, in the Council Room of the Realms. Located at what would be our North Pole.

Now there’s no time to lose, let’s begin…
