Stanley Plight looked around the table, it was full of some his closest friends, it was full of the rulers of each realm. They were all now in their early 30’s. He looked to his left, Cody Pool the king of the realm of Water sat there. He and Cody had been friends ever since they could talk; they grew up close together and finished theRoyalAcademytogether.

“Well then I believe that we should just take a risk here and wait to see what she’ll do,” Stanley said, the people in the room all wore the same look, jaw muscles bunched yet their eyes, show the calm look they always wore. ButStanleyknew these people so well he could see right through that calm collective look and see the stress and thoughts going through their minds.

“We can’t just sit here and do nothing!” Carissa Blaze, queen of the realm Fire, stood and pounded the table with her fist. Her hair hung loose on her shoulders, it had a red streak on the side, and this indicated she was from the realm of Fire. Each realm had their own color, Fire was red, Water was blue, Earth was green, Air was gray, Light was yellow and Darkness was purple. Her red eyes now had a blaze of anger in them, “I will not just sit here and watch this women threaten my child!”

“Carissa, Carissa calm down,” Annabeth, Skylar’s wife, said in a cool collective voice, “I know that you’re afraid for your child, we all are. And we all know how important these kids will be in the future”. She looked at Skylar her eyes betraying her fear now.

“I’m starting to agree with Carissa now,” this was coming from the realm of Darkness’s king James Striker, the purple lightning bolt in his hair stood out now.Stanleyknew that meant his mind was working hard as well. “I want to protect my daughter as well as I can and if that means a war...” he stopped himself.

Stanleylooked to his right, where his wife Mitsuko sat; she was awfully quiet in a discussion like this one. The red stripe in her head was becoming brighter by the second, she was thinking, thinking deeply.

Someone else slapped the table this time, Stan jumped with shock. It was Zachery Westgate this time, the king of the realm of Light. He was usually the more humorous one, but not today, his miss-matched eyes, one blue one green, full of anger now. “I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING!!” his voice rang out through the room. “My son is in danger! And, I don’t know about the rest of you, but if breaking a war with this, this woman means safety for my boy. Then, I by myself, without the rest of you, if you won’t send your armies, I will fight her”!

“Calm down Zach,” Dustan Archer said, “I’m just as worried as you are about my daughter. But there is no reason to go crazy right now. We need to pull our brains together and start with logic.” The king of the realm of Earth was sounding very wise now. Well it was within his realm, under his nose, that this whole thing started.

“I agree,” David Star, the king of the realm of air said. “There is something we could do.” He said his brilliant gray eyes looked as if he had hit a brilliant idea.

“No,” Cody said, “I know what you’re thinking and that is way too dangerous.”

Stanleylooked at the two with curiosity; the others that had stood were now sitting looking at the two as well. They were all wondering the same thing he was, what are they talking about?

David took a deep breath, “There is a magic, powerful enough to transport a person or a group of people from our world to the other world, Earth as it is called. The children would be able to-”

“No!” Annabeth stood up from her chair and looked at David directly in the eyes, “I will not send my new born son to an unknown world!”

“I didn’t say we would do it right now. We would have to wait awhile and send people we trust there first to prepare a place for them. And we do this only if she attacks first.”

Annabeth was breathing hard, and Cody took her arm and pulled her down to her seat gently, “That sounds like a plausible idea.” He looked around at everyone else, “But the question is who would be willing to go?”

Stanleylooked at Mitsuko who had read his mind and nodded, that was the one thing he would always love about her, she knew what he was thinking by the time he looked to her for her approval. He took her hand and they stood together, “We’ll go.” He said confidently.

“Are you sure about this Stan?” Cody looked up at him with one of his eye brows arched.

Stanleynodded, “We’re sure.”

“So it’s settle than,” Carissa said now after being silent for awhile, “When do we do this?”

“As soon as we possibly can,” Zachery said.

Cody stood, “Meeting adjourned.” He pulled back his wife’s chair and they left together, hand-in-hand.
