Cody got up early that morning and looked out the balcony of their master bedroom. Annabeth lay sleeping in their bed, covered in the blankets he wrapped her in. The sight made him smile.

He leaned forward onto the rail and took a deep breath. He took in all the colors around him, confused, ran his fingers through his light brown hair.

He heard a knock on his bedroom door, “Who could that be,” he said to himself. It couldn’t be another council meeting; no one would be up this early. He hurried to the door and pulled it open slowly.

It was Stanley, “Morning Cody,” he said smiling slightly.

“Hey, Stan,” Cody said, his voice sounded slightly worn out. It was probably because he had been up half the night pacing the balcony and got little sleep.

“May I talk to you for a while?” Stan had that look in his eyes that said he was thinking about something, and Cody knew exactly what he was talking.

“Yeah, sure,” he said, stepping out of his room and gently closing the door behind him. “What is it man”?

“Mitsuko and I think we should be going, soon.” He said this with such confidence that Cody became a bit worried.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked with one eye brow raised.

“As sure as we’ll ever be.” Stan replied, his hazel eyes were burning with determination when Cody looked at him.

“Alright call a meeting, we’ll do it tonight.”

Cody stepped through the grand double doors that opened up to the Council’s meeting room. It opened to a huge circular room that was surrounded with stained glass windows that depicted the Realms beginnings. The windows that were empty were windows that held mysterious prophecies that would later on fill those empty spaces. Cody always thought it was interesting that the windows knew what would happen, yet he thought it strange that the windows did know what would happen.

Everyone was present for the meeting, well everyone meaning the direct heirs that had been named king or queen; Cody Pool, Carissa Blaze, James Striker, Zachery Westgate, Dustan Archer, David Star, and then of course Stanley Plight, but Mitsuko was still missing. The amount of power that stood in that room at that instant was enough to make every realm quake. These rulers were the most powerful people that lived, as it had always been this way and it would forever remain that way.

Cody looked around at the round table where his friends sat. “Well we all know why we’re here,” he said with a straight face, “I suggest we get started right away”.

James stood from his seat and looked Cody straight in the eye, “We’ll have to wait for the right sorcerers for this particular job,” he said calmly, he knew the kind of stress everyone was going through for he felt it as well.

Zachery stood next and nodded with nothing to say. Then Carissa followed and Dustan and David followed suit. This was their way of showing they knew what to expect from then on. They all knew the dangers that would follow what they would next do.

“This is at last minute notice, and sorcerers of the strength that we’re looking for aren’t the ones that are trained every day,” Carissa was the one who spoke next. Her red bangs were growing brighter and her red eyes wondering.

“I suppose you’re right,” Stan said folding his arms across his chest.

The double doors were slammed open at that instant and Mitsuko came in running, she pulled up panting almost out of breath like she had just sprinted a mile, “I’ve found someone,” she said breathing deeply.

“Take a deep breath,” Stan said putting an arm around his wife.

She took another deep breath then calmly looked around the table at the curious eyes that looked back at her, “There’s a sorcerer coming that is strong enough, and knows the right citation, to do this.”

Everyone just looked at her, and then Cody spoke, “What’s this master’s name”?

            “Jennifer, Jennifer Koki”.
