Changing the Tide: The Six Realms

Chapter 3: Realm of Earth, Earlier that day

            Jasmine Kum had spent the last few hours pacing back and forth in the small cave they had turned into a sort of headquarters for their small rebellion. Well now small was a sort of understatement, they would out number any realm’s army, but not enough to out number all the realms put together.

            Jasmine paced a little more until she heard a knock on her door, she walked quickly to answer it. A man with a blue streak at the front of his jet black hair, he wore a black shirt and slacks stood in front of her. “Hello Edward,” Jasmine said with a seductive smile on her lips.

            “Hello,” he said curtly. Edward was her second in command, her lover fit him better. Behind that frown and those tight jaw muscles she could see something was going on in that complicated mind of his, not only that but the blue in his hair was growing brighter and brighter.

            “Ed, what’s going on,” she said now with a quizzical look on her face.

            “They’re going to form an alliance,” he said not making eye contact. This was the news they were dreading, if the realms were to come together their plan wouldn’t last. “But…” he started.

            “But?”

            “But, there is a way we could secure our victory.” This man had come with a plan. I suppose his years have served him well, Jasmine thought. Jasmine and Edward though at the appearance of seventeen were not at all what they seemed. She liked to use the word immortal, they would never grow older, yet they had the power to choose to be whatever age they wanted.

            “Do share this idea,” she said smiling wickedly. She put a hand on his cheek and kissed him on the lips gently.
