Walking out of the bedroom to see two busy bodies carrying large boxes had me curious.

"Um.. hi guys." I smiled and waved.

They stopped in their tracks and turned to me with big grins on their faces. "Hey, Hanaiya!" They greeted.

"What are you lot doing?" I asked as I made my way to the kitchen area.

"We're putting new furniture in our bedrooms and in the living room." Said Joe.

"All of this should've been done two weeks ago, but they decided for it to be here now." Sighed Johnny.

"Peak. Well better late than never eh?" I gave a friendly smile, despite my tired mood.

"Yeah" they said in sync.

"Also, before you go into the kitchen, what did 'peak' mean?" Joe asked.

"It's like saying 'that's unfortunate' , or 'oh no' or 'that's sad'. It's slang we use in England a lot." I explained before walking in the kitchen. I heard a faint 'thank you' behind me. Whether I seemed rude for not wanting to stand and engage all night, at this current moment I didn't care. I'm a huge procrastinator and I needed to make my tea and check out these emails.

Once the tea was made I headed back to my bedroom and sat at my desk. The emails were talking about dress codes for work, rules and expectations at work, and when I started work, which was tomorrow at 11AM. It was very long reading through all of this, but brief. Once done I set out my clothes for work, which was a navy and cream outfit. A navy blazer and pair of trousers. A cream fitted turtle neck top and pointed toe heels.

I then decided to FaceTime my mother.

"Hannah!!!! Baby girl, oh my I wasn't expecting you to call!" She exclaimed with excitement. By the way, Hannah was my nick name.

"Aha why?" I said.

"Because I thought you would've been settling in and doing things with the girls." She explained.

"I've already settled in. Oh and we were separated." I told her bluntly.

"What?!" Her voice was so loud I had to put my phone on the lowest volume.

I then explained the whole situation to her.

Half an hour later I smelt some delicious food, which reminded me that I had to cook. Wow it's like being in university all over again.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Hold up mamma. Come in!" I said.

It was Joe with a smile on his face. "Oh wow you've decorated this room nicely!"

"Thanks" I replied.

"Anyways, just letting you know that dinner will be ready in ten minute. Uh I mean minutes aha." He blushed which I found kind of cute and laughed.

"Daughter, I'll call you back later yeah?" My mum said.

"Oh sorry, I didn't know you were on a call." Joe said nervously before quickly exiting. I laughed at his sudden actions.

"Mum that was Joe, he's a twin and is one of my roommates. Awe he's sweet. Since I've arrived which was early this morning, he and his brother have been making me food. It's so sweet." I explained.

"Well dem' Koreans love to cook after people, right?" She asked.

"Well Koreans are just like us. Jamaicans cook for people a lot as well, but these two are chefs so it explains the extra." I stated.

"Also, sweetie." My mum's face turned into a sad smile.

"Yes mum?" I replied worriedly.

"How are you coping with being there and knowing that you're actually living there?" She asked.

"Well today I haven't done nothing but sleep and settle in, so I don't know. But I'm sure the experience will be fine-"

"That's not what I meant." She sighed as she cut me off.

"I know what you meant. I'm 23 and soon 24. I know that you think I've come here because of Ti, but he doesn't affect me anymore. I don't even know who he is and he doesn't know me. I have not flown to the other side of the world for some man. I was offered better pay and a higher ranking job at the same company. Plus I knew the language. Yes as a teen I was highly emotional, but I've changed. I'm fine." I lectured. I saw her nod and sigh, as if she was finally accepting my words.

"Alrighty darling. Well gwarn eat your dinner." She assured me and I said my goodbyes before heading outside my bedroom.

"Your food is in the microwave, if you want more the pots are still out for you to add to your plate." Stated Johnny.

"You lot are really sweet it's making me feel bad." I pouted. What was funny was they both turned their heads to the right and said 'awe'.

"Don't worry about it, we enjoy it. No favour needed to be returned." Smiled Joe.

I went to the kitchen received my food and sat with them. I took a bite of the crab pasta dish and flew into heaven.

"Mmmm this is so good." I announced.

"Thanks." They both said.

"So let's get to know each other shall we?" I smiled. "So do you two have a routine I should be aware of?" I asked.

"Trash day is Tuesday for regular rubbish. Recycle garbage is on Friday. Black bin for regular, green for recycling." Stated Johnny.

"Also you seem like a tidy person, though I'm just saying, we always pick up after ourselves. But for big spaces like the kitchen or living/dinning room area we all participate in tidying. If you can, if you see mess in these public areas just clean it." Said Joe.

"Of course!" I nodded my head in agreement.

"Friends and that are fine, but if there's a party wanted just let us know in advance and we'd do the same." Said Johnny.

"But we don't have house partes, so..." shrugged Joe.

"Cool." I responded.

"Shopping etc, we do all of that as we get it for free or on discount. But if you wanted any specific items let us know or write it down so we can get them for you." Johnny told me.

"Great! Well thanks guys." I said.

As we ate we got to know each other's likes and dislikes. As identical twins you got to realise how different these two people really were. And the more we talked the more I liked them. They were quite sassy but really funny, they got my humour also. I also found out that they were half Korean and half Chinese, but their Chinese was not superb, according to their opinions. They got out a white wine, prosecco, and soju for us to drink. We kept on drinking and joking until we got tipsy, I then decided at 22:30 to start tidying up the kitchen.

"Hans!!! Why are you washing up when you have to be at work by 11AM?! Go to bed, go do something other than this. We go work later than you, so we will do this." Johnny told me. He grabbed me by the shoulders and gently pushed me out the kitchen.

"Alrighty alrighty! Imma go sleep." I threw my hands up in defeat as I made it to my room. I got ready for bed before sleeping.
