DEAR JACK,
Does this world scare you like it does me?
I can't think of this world without you.
Even in this cruel world , we are meant to be.

ROSE HAD KEPT TO THE ROAD HOPING THAT JACK WOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THE SAME. Holding on to the straps of her bag, this journey had been exhausting after the previous night that she had gone through. Glancing up and down the road, she saw that there had been no cars coming or going meaning that the Winchesters were either off somewhere else searching or still unconscious on the floor where she had left them.

In a way, this made her world feel empty. It had always seemed that when they had lost a member of their family, they would be forced to push on to the next event, unable to slow down and take time to accept the death that had fallen on their shoulders.

Even now, this walk down an empty street, all by herself, this had not felt like she could slow down. Jack had been out there and that had to be her main focus. There was no time to grieve her father and best friend. She still hadn't been able to take time to process the death of Rowena MacLeod when they had discovered the Lucifer had killed her. It felt unfair but there was a job that needed to be done.

Focusing her eyes down at the ground before her, a small mark in the dirt had caught her attention. Coming to a stop, she had peered down at the footprint that had been pressed into the ground. The only one that she had known was walking the streets without any shoes on had been Jack Kline. Standing up quickly, she took off in a sprint down the road in hopes of catching up to the boy that had left her back in what would have been his nursery.

BREATHING HEAVILY FROM THE QUICK SPRINT, ROSE HAD SPOTTED A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT COMING INTO VIEW AND FELT A BIT OF RELIEF TO SEE SOMEONE THAT COULD POSSIBLY HELP HER. Using the last bit of energy that she could muster, she ran right to the front doors of Pirate Pete's Jolly Treats.

Walking in on both workers, she slowly reached up, straightening out her hair and clothes in hopes that she did not look too crazy for a straggler. Looking up at the menu, the thought of food had reminded her how long it had been since she had gotten a meal in her. It was until she had seen the changes that one of the teens had been making that had her push the feelings away.

Chuckling at his work, a worker spun around from the table he sat upon and gave her a nod of greeting, "Sup? Can I interest you in a High Seas Butt Combo or maybe a Cheesebutt?" Pausing, a corner of his lips had twitched into a grin. "Eh, you look kinda more like a Buttshake kinda girl."

"Hey, man," the other interjected. "You can't talk to the customers like that."

Turning to his coworker, he gave a small shrug, "I'm untouchable." Since his mom had been dating his boss, he felt like he could do anything and it wouldn't matter how many times he was fired— he always had gotten the job back.
