DEAR JACK,
I'm glad I have you in my life to keep me company.
No one else can make me smile like you do.❂
EVEN THOUGH SAM AND DEAN HAVE BEEN GONE ON THEIR OWN CASE, ROSE FELT AS IF SHE HAD NEVER STOPPED SMILING. Time in the bunker with Jack had been the best she's ever had. There was never a moment that they had to keep quiet as they talked since there was never an ear pressed to a door. There was no need to be cautious with staying alone with Jack in her room.
Often the two had spent every moment together as they had grown closer. Jack had plenty of questions that came to him that she had now been happy to answer. Sometimes, she had asked him her own questions, which only made him feel better since he had felt like he would grow annoying.
There was something about one another that both could not get enough of. Jack had been careful not to look at Rose too much in fear of scaring her off. But he couldn't help but smile when she would wear his clothes when she didn't want to find her own. He enjoyed putting back on his sweatshirts to find that they had smelled just as she did.
And of course, Rose would never admit it either, but she enjoyed the smell of coffee that Jack had left on his clothes she'd wear. Often it would bring a smile to her face to recall the plenty of times he had attempted to make them each a cup, only to spill it while carrying it back to her room. Even her blankets and pillows had begun to smell of him as they had spent all their nights together with the Winchester brothers away. She could feel herself often glancing Jack's way when they'd watch movies, and when she'd look away, he'd find himself just missing it, but shifting his eyes her way as well.
The only issue was that Jack had often forgot to clean up his clothes when she'd give them back to him. Picking up one of his sweatshirts, she called for him to learn to clean up before he leaves the room as she took it for herself. As long as he was leaving it behind, she was claiming it as her own.
Coming out of her room, she had just begun to throw the sweatshirt on when she ran right into someone. Expecting to see Jack, she yanked the sweatshirt down with a bright smile until she noticed that the person before her was much taller. Taking in Sam's appearance, it had hit her that he was back from his case with Dean. "Hey, how'd everything go?"
"Good," he said rather awkwardly. What had caught him off guard was Rose standing before him in Jack's sweatshirt, already wincing at the coming comments from Dean. "Uh, so, you're wearing Jack's clothes now?"
Already hearing every word, Dean had same walking up with a sour expression. "That's what I'd like to know."
Dragging out a long sigh, Rose wished that they had maybe given her a warning before coming home. That way, she could create a more distant relationship with Jack that Dean would only slightly approve of, and not be caught wearing something of his. "Nothing's going on, guys." But her statement hadn't convinced Dean enough to drop it.
