DEAR JACK,
How did we drift so far apart?
Once I used to feel you and I felt whole
When I left, she had stolen everything that belonged to my heart.❂
JACK HAD SHORTENED THEIR JOURNEY THROUGH THE WOODS AND THE TWO HAD APPEARED IN A CABIN THAT WAS UNOCCUPIED. Muffled voices could be heard on the other side of the door, causing both to look to one another. Both could sense the energies of angels, and there were very few at camp. Jack had been hoping to see Castiel again, while Rose had hoped to see no one else besides Jack.
Sighing, Rose had made the first move to interrupt the conversation outside. The two had stood in the doorway of both Castiel and Lucifer in conversation that soon cut off. Castiel had shifted his eyes across the two before turning away. Lucifer on the other hand had a smile grow as he had been waiting for a conversation with these two for quite some time.
"Son," Lucifer said with a smile, "Sons girlfriend," he said with a nod in her direction.
"It's Jack and Rose," Jack said sternly.
"Oh, see, when you say it like that, it's precious," Lucifer grinned, lightly smacking Cas in the chest, "Jack and Rose like the Titanic. Tell me, Jack, did you pain her like one of your French girls, if you know what I mean." He had sent his son a quick wink that was not that secretive. Rose had let out a soft scoff as she turned her attention away.
"I'm not sure what that means. I don't know how to paint," Jack said in confusion.
"Oh, come on!" Lucifer called out in shock, "Rose, you really never showed him that movie yet?"
Castiel watched as Rose's dangerous look settled on Lucifer and felt the need to interrupt. As much as he hated Lucifer, to allow Rose to hurt him in any way was not smart just yet. They needed him as of now and he knew that Jack would not forgive her. Clearing his throat, he turned his attention to Jack. "Jack, talking with Lucifer is not a good idea."
"I'm not going to talk. I'm going to listen," Jack confirmed, which had only disappointed Castiel.
Leaning in towards Cas, Lucifer chose to mock him, "He's going to listen." Sighing softly, Lucifer collected his thoughts as he focused his attention on Jack. "Wow," he breathed, "This dad things is sort of new to me. So, um, do you have any questions that you wanna ask? Do you need the sex talk or are we passed that?"
Rose had accepted that it was too much for her to be around Lucifer and made her way between Cas and Lucifer for an exit. However, Castiel had grabbed the crook of her arm before she could head off just yet. Leaning in close, he hoped the conversation would be as private as it could get. "You are allowed to talk to me about what happened here."
Rose had pulled her arm free as she furrowed her brows at Cas. Deep inside, she knew she had trusted him. He was always one she could trust. He had risked his own relationship with Sam and Dean to hold a secret of hers before hand and that would never change. But Rose was different this time around. Not because she had been a demon, but because of a woman that had forced her way into her life.
