Junkrat x Reader

Change in perspective

This morning is gym day. Basically means everyone does workouts that cater to what you struggle with the most, (flexibility, mobility, endurance, etc.). I got up and got myself ready. I decided to wear some leggings and a sports bra, a little revealing but i was gonna go big or go home. I was walking to the gym and I bumped into Lena. She looked more awake and excited then I was. "Lena, how do you wake up at 6:00 AM and look this great?" I asked while she swung her arm around me. "Trust me. It takes a lot to look this beautiful," she said as she flicked her hair and pushed out her lips. I laughed and soon enough we were at the gym.

As we walked in we put our stuff down and got to work. It was mandatory that we stretched before any type of exercise we did in the gym so we don't risk any injuries. The whole team was on mats just stretching and mei and I were just discussing the schedule for today. I slid into a split and leaned forward into it. she gasped, "Wowza, teach me how to do that!" i giggled. "Ballet and shit man. Made me as flexible as a pool noodle". mei and I laughed together and she packed up her mat and walking over to the mat rental place. (idk). Still stretching I see junkrat walk in late and being harassed by jack. "Jamison Fawks! late again! What can i do for you to actually show up on time?!" Junkrat ignored jack and rolled his eyes and had a pissed off look on his face. He looked over at me and his expression immediately changed. He waved at me and gave me a smile. cute. I wave back. He walked over and sat on a mat beside me. I didn't think he'd actually come sit beside me, I was a little shocked. "wow, what an entrance!" I slow clapped and he shoved you a little bit. "I have a good reason for being late you shit". I snickered a bit. "Fashionably late?" I started laughing and some other people did too. "No!!" he groaned and crossed his arms like he was mad but I could tell he wasn't. I laughed a little too hard and you snorted and junkrat started to giggle while I held your face in embarrassment. Jack noticed us giggling and making jokes. "Hey, guys stop messing around!". I immediately stopped laughing and briefly waved as I got up and walked away.

After putting my mat away I did planks and leg lifts and my abs burned like crazy. Then I did some work on the treadmill and did 30 pushups. feeling the burn I look up to see no one sweating but me. I felt a bit embarrassed because I guess I wasn't as fit as the rest of the team. I mean, I have a good build and I maintain a healthy diet but these guys were hardcore. I look over and see Zarya flipping tires twice her size like it was nothing. after 30 minutes of nonstop working out, I decided to take a break. I sat on the bench and sipped from my water bottle, as I watched the other heroes.

Lena sat beside me and leaned in close. "I'd be careful around junkie over there. And I know I've warned you before, but it's very unusual that he's being nice to you. If I didn't know any better he's either plotting to kill you or he's finally learned to make an actual friend other than death piggy over there. I mean who really knows." I look at Lena with an uncertain look. When I'm hanging around junkrat I don't think about the fact that he's a criminal or that he's done horrible things in his life. Now that Lena is telling me this, it does change my perspective a bit more. While walking back to my room, I was thinking about what I might be getting into. I couldn't see junkrat hurting me, when I'm around him I feel safe. But I did make a vow to keep my guard up.

When I got to my room, I showered and put on some casual clothing. I heard a knock on my door and walked over. To my surprise it was junkrat. "He-"I was immediately interrupted "Hi, so Mako and I are going to the beach near HQ, it's about walking distance and I thought maybe you would want to come as well. So meet at my place in 10 minutes.". He started walking away and before I could reply  he added "OH and bring a bathing suit and towel, or not, whatever.". I closed the door completely baffled about what just happened. The way he asked me made me think I didn't have a choice whether I wanted to go or not. I laugh. Typical. I'm sure we'll have a great time.

I slipped on an (F/C) bathing suit underneath my regular clothing and grabbed a clean yellow towel. I started to get bothered by what Lena told me. She definitely got to me. My head is spinning with all the different ways this could go bad.
