Golden Towers-Maya's flat

Manik pov

I'm scared.., scared of losing someone who is my strength and weakness too. For me life isn't always been a bed of roses. I'm afraid that someday consequence of my actions would affect their life. I don't want to see history repeating itself, but I'm helpless. Situations ain't in my hands. I have to be strong at least for them. I knew I needed to tell her the truth, but somehow I couldn't gather courage. I feared of her reaction.

To divert her I took her chachi's home, so that at least I could get some time to prepare myself. If I had said we were going to my chachi's home she could have stopped us from going so without informing her I took her there.

Maya helped me in diverting her completely. She understood that I needed space to prepare myself, so she got nandini engaged with her stupid complaints. I got opportunity and slipped away from there, reached kitchen. Chachi was chopping the veggies. I got settled on the kitchen slab.

Chachi: Toh Kya plan hai...sab kuch bataye ga usse??

I heaved a sigh. I couldn't decide what to do. I just took some piece of carrot in my mouth and started munching on it.

Manik: Don't know Chachi... mujhe kuch samaj hi nahi aaraha hai...matlab woh do teen mahine tak depression mein thi....I don't know how she will handle the truth....will she be able to bear it...I am scared chachi..

I expressed my fears to chachi.

Chachi: Manik beta agar tum hote toh kya tum usse depression mein janne dete!! Bolo janne dete?

I simply shook my head in a no immediately.

Chachi: Nahi na ab tum uske saath ho....To tum usko samalena..pyaari bacchi hai woh samajayegi.

I just hummed in return.

Maya and chachi had become my strength, especially maya. They were the ones who handled me when I was at my weak point all this while They both have suffered more than me, but are more stronger than any.

We heard nandini and maya yelling my name out. I was about to answer but chachi answered telling them I was in kitchen.

Both of them entered kitchen after a while. I knew nandini was hell annoyed at me for two things, first she wanted to spend some alone time with me and second leaving her alone with maya.

At first maya entered then behind her nandini, who glanced....no no in fact glared at me. Her cheeks had puffed up with red hue covering it. She had a threatening look on her face. I just made an innocent face so she could melt a bit. But she soon covered it up and faked up a smile for chachi who was welcoming her.

Chachi: Aajao beta ander aao..

As soon as Chachi turned away from her she was back on giving threatening looks to me.

Maya: Maa aap kya banarahiho??

From her looks I could say that presence of both maya and chachi saved me from nandini's wrath.
