Chapter 12

Emily's POV
I had no idea what was wrong with Sal, but I decided to give him a bit of space. Nick was watching films upstairs and my friend Ashley was coming over. I already knew the topic of conversation would be about her new job, but k didn't mind. I was actually interested to hear about the show she was working on.

When she came over, we sat in the living room. I made us both a cup of tea as we sat comfortably chatting.
"How's Nick?" She asked me.
"Good. How's Mike?" I asked.
"I have no clue. We broke up!" She told me. I felt really awkward for bringing it up.
"Anyway. Tell me about your new job?!" I asked to change the subject.
"Well. I'm an editor on a show called.. practical jokes or something" she replied. I suddenly sat up.
"Wait wait wait. Impractical jokers?!" I asked.
"Yeah have you heard of it?!" She asked me. I didn't want to tell her about me fancying Sal because she would probably tell him.
"Yeah!" I replied.
"Oh wow! What's it about?!" She asked me.
"These four guys, Q, Joe, Murr and Sal! They do challenges.." I began. 
"Are they cute?" She asked.
"Of course!" I replied. I took my phone and googled it to show her a pic.
"Wow they are! I like him" she replied, pointing at Sal. I weirdly felt jealous, even though she hasn't met him, yet. I just nodded as the conversation continued.
