Chapter 14

It was one week since I last saw Sal. My brother has now went back home, so I was alone in this house for now. I tried to call Ashley, to talk to someone, but she kept sending me to voicemail.

However 20 minutes later, she sent me a text to pick her up. I got into my car and drove to where the guys were working.

When I got there, I locked my car and walked up to where they were. I immediately saw Sal, and I haven't spoken to him since last week, when we argued. He was talking to Ashley at the time. I stepped closer to hear them laughing and chatting to each other. It kinda looked like they were flirting. I tried to not let it bother me so put on a fake smile. I saw Ashley walk off into the back room and Sal was stood there on his own. He turned around and saw me. He sort of smiled and slowly walked up to me.
"I'm sorry" we both said at the same time.
"No, I'm sorry. I was horrid!" He apologised.
"I'm sorry too. I was so mean" I said.
It was an awkward silence between us.
Ashley walked up and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"You ready?" She asked Sal, then looked at me.
"Oh Em. Sorry, I forgot to call.  I don't need a lift, me and Sal are gonna go out and get a coffee, so you can go home" she explained. I slowly felt my heart break into a million pieces.
"Oh okay" I said. I tried my best to smile, but it was very hard.
"Em" Sal said.
"I'm fine. Bye" I said as I spun round, and collided into Q.
"Oh hey" Q said to me. Our hands briefly touched.
"Hey" I said to Q. Q looked up and saw Sal and Ashley together and he guessed why I was making a quick exit.
"You wanna get a coffee?" Q asked me, with a wink, to save me embarrassment from Sal and Ashley.
"Please!" I replied. He held out his hand and I accepted and walked off. Sal's smile dropped.
"You ready?" Ashley asked Sal, to get his attention back as his eyes were fixated on me and Q.
"Sure" he replied
