Maria was excited. She had tickets for a small Green Day club concert and today was the day. She had trouble falling asleep because she was too excited already, when her alarm clock rang at 4am she jumped out of bed with a huge smile and a bubbly feeling of excitement in her stomach. The chilly September air greeted her but she was too excited to notice anything around her. She was glad that she lived pretty close to the venue and didn't have to drive a couple hours. She took the first train into town and took the window seat and looked out of the window even though it was dark outside and the only thing she saw was her reflection. She listened to Green Day on her iPod and couldn't stop smiling. She kept glancing at her phone to look at the time. It was 6:37am and she was almost there. Just two more stops. It felt like hours passed when she finally got out of the train and walked away from the train station. She used her maps app to find the way to the location. It was about five minutes away and with each step she took, her heart started to beat faster. She was scared that too many people were already there and that she would end up somewhere in the back. Maria was so happy when she saw that only about 6 people were already there, wrapped up in blankets. "Hey, good morning," she greeted them happily. Maria laughed and agreed she was happy that she already made friends. And rocking out in the front row sounded very good. With newly made friends, Green Day music and a lot of food even though she felt like she couldn't eat something because she was that excited, the long hours of waiting passed by quickly. At 4:25pm they all started to get ready to get inside. They made a plan to claim the front row as theirs. They all got rid of anything they didn't need inside and already got out their tickets, seeing as it was getting very crowded. At 5:12pm they opened the doors and the girls were all in the front row. It was a small stage and the only thing that kept them away from the band was the barrier. Maria kept looking at the stage, she was standing on Mikes side, pretty much in front of him. The one spot she aimed for. She couldn't believe that her idols were going to stand there in a couple hours and she would be the first thing they were gonna see, at least that's what she hoped for.

The Interrupters opened for Green Day and got the club all warmed up for Green Day. Maria's heart dropped when Bohemian Rhapsody started to play and everyone started to sing along. It was only one song and performance of the Drunk Bunny that kept Maria away from seeing her favorite band. The Drunk Bunny came on stage and everyone freaked out and shouted the lyrics of Blitzkrieg Bop. Maria zoned out for a couple minutes and suddenly Tré sat behind his drums and started to play Know your Enemy. Mike stood in front of Maria and she couldn't believe her eyes. She jumped along the crowd and sang her heart out. She was gonna have the best time of her life in the next two and a half hours. Throughout the entire show, she made a lot of eye contact with Mike and even held his hand for a brief five seconds. She made sure that he felt his love. He even responded numerous times and kept answering her. Throughout the show, Mike grabbed her hand and gave her his pick. Maria smiled widely and kept dancing to Longview. The show ended way too fast for Maria's liking and she was sad that she had to leave Mike. The Band walked off stage and Mike looked at Maria one last time. The crowd cheered for a couple seconds after the boys were gone and then started to leave. Maria and the friends she made that day went to the merch stall and waited in line. Maria still couldn't believe what happened. Suddenly a bodyguard stood next to Maria and handed her a little note. She wasn't sure what he wanted from him but she still opened the note.

"Hey, I saw you in the crowd and you should come backstage, now. -Mike"

Maria couldn't believe her eyes. Is this note really from the sweet guy from Green Day? The only way she could find it out is to follow his lead. She said goodbye to her friends and walked to the backstage entry. A bodyguard walked in front of her. "Name?" he simply said and waited for her response. "Uhm my name is Maria and I must go backstage to meet the bassist of Green Day!" She said really loudly, so many people which were still there looked really jealous in her direction. Maria smiled proudly as the bodyguard led her in. She walked through a dark and long tunnel as they suddenly arrived in a big room with a big couch and a table with many fruits and candies. She sat down on the couch and waited patiently for Mike. After a few minutes, he came into the room and black pants with red stripes on each side. He didn't wear a shirt and his hair was still wet from the shower. Maria looked at him in disbelief. Is the one and only Mike Dirnt standing right in front of her without a shirt? He walked over to Maria and sat down next to her and laid one hand on her knee. "Hey babe, how are you feeling?" Mike said with a wink. Maria blushed at this but tried to be confident and flirty like him. She took Mike's hand and pulled it closer to her center. "I'm fine, but now it's better," she said. Mike chuckled and smirked at Maria. "So you enjoyed the show?" he said and looked into her beautiful eyes. "Of course, you guys rocked," Maria beamed excitedly.
