“No way,” I laughed, glancing over to my best friend in the passenger seat. “Mean girl is way more iconic than Paper Towns.”

“Paper Towns is my life.” He said dramatically.

“I know that you goof, we’ve been best friends since we were five.”

“The good ol’ days.” He joked.

I shook my head as I pulled into the hotel parking lot. I got a spot close to the door and cut the engine. We both got out and stretched.

“That trip wasn’t too bad.” Aaron said.

“Yes, three days in a car with you is not bad at all.” I joked sarcastically.

“Shut up, you love me.”

“Don’t count on it.” I told him.

“You go get the keys and I’ll start grabbing your luggage.”

“Okay.” I smiled and shut the car door. I walked to the front desk in the hotel.

“How can I help you?”

“Room under Carpenter, Aaron.” I said.

“Yes. Room three oh two on the fourth floor.” She smiled and handed me the keys as Aaron walked in with our luggage on a cart.

We went to the elevator and I clicked the button for the fourth floor. The doors shut and opened on the floor. We got out and walked to the room. I unlocked the door and threw it open. Aaron walked in first with me close behind.

I scanned the room, “Holy shit this is huge!”

“That’s what she said.” Aaron joked.

I threw a water bottle from the dresser at him.

“Ow.” He said, holding his arm where it hit him.

“Pussy.” I scoffed.

“Whatever.” He laughed.

“Are you paying for this room?” I asked him.

“No, Bart is.”

“Why such a big room?” I asked, running my hands over one of the king sized beds.

“He’s very high class.” He said.

“I know.” I lifted my eye brows.

“Get your bags so I can bring this thing back down.”

I started grabbing my bags off. I dropped them on one of the beds as he did the same.

“I’ll be back.” Aaron said.

“Have fun.” I smiled at him.

He walked out as I unzipped my bags. I found my bathroom bag and dropped it inside the bathroom door on the counter. There was a knock at the door and I walked over, pulling it open. My eyes traveled up the body and locked with a pair of brown ones.

“You must be Elizabeth.” He said.

“Call me Ellie.” I stated. “You are?”

“I’m Matthew.” He said. “Matthew Espinosa.”

“I know you.” I perked up. “Want to come in?”

“Sure.” He said and walked in. “Where’s Aaron?”

“He went to go put the luggage cart back.”

“Are you making him do all the dirty work?” He laughed.
