The next morning Aaron and I were woken up to someone banging on the door. Aaron flipped over and looked at me. He slid out of bed and walked over to the door.

"Mike!" He said which caused me to sit up.

"Where is she?" I heard my dad's voice.

"Dad." I stated and he walked in. He saw me. I stood up and hugged him.

"Oh my god." He said and smoothed my hair down.

My eyes glossed over again.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"You should not be sorry for anything."

"You're missing work." I said.

"I don't care." He said.

I pulled back and wiped my face, "what happened with mom?"

"She uh, she left." He said.

"What?" I asked, my voce squeaking.

"She couldn't take the pain of living in that house anymore."

"Dad." I cried as he pulled me into another hug.

"I'm going to get Bart." Aaron said.

"Thank you Aaron." My dad said to him.

Aaron walked out of the room as my dad pulled back.

"I know this is rough." My dad told me. "But you have some amazing friends who trusted their instinct."

"I know that nothing happened Dad, but it almost did." I said. "I was almost raped."

"You're okay." He said. "That's what matters."

I nodded and wiped my face as the door opened. I saw Bart and Aaron walked back.

"Bart." My dad said.

"Hey Mike." Bart said and they hugged.

Aaron put his arm around me and I leaned my body against his.

"Ellie." Bart said. "We do have Magcon today and I think that you should stay here. You and your father should go do something, think about things."

I nodded and pulled away from Aaron. I hugged Bart.

"Thank you." I said.

"Of course." He replied.

We pulled away.

"I have to go get the other guys awake." He said. "We'll see you tonight."

I nodded and he walked out. I turned to look at my dad and Aaron.

"Are you thinking about going home?" Aaron said.

"It'll be just as bad." I said. "If not worse."

Later that night, around eight my dad and I walked back into my hotel room. Aaron, Shawn and Johnson were hanging out and talking. My dad had taken me to the mall; we'd gotten lunch and dinner together and went to see a movie.

I was carrying bags of clothes, a drink from Chick Fil A in my other hand.

"That movie was very funny." My dad said to me.

"It was hilarious!" I said.

"It was supposed to be a scary movie." My dad said.

"Tyler was definitely my favorite." I smiled and set the bags on the ground by my bed.
