Walking downstairs, I'm greeted to two guys in a low conversation. Noah seemed like he just finished an apple, the centre, including the seeds, still in his hands.

The two seemed like they've been waiting for hours.

7:02.

My phone screen displayed. We have exactly 28 minutes to be on school grounds and be in our first period.

"I'm back bitches!" I announced, throwing my arms up in the air, minding my voice due to the remainder of the parents which weren't already at work or out.
"Finally, get in the fucking car so we can fucking leave!" Jack instructed, adorning his letterman jacket.

We hurriedly grabbed all our needed items, me The three of us clambered into Jack's vehicle- His prised personally repaired muscle car.

"Hey, hey, hey! Precious vehicle! Mind your fucking huge ass feet, Millie!" He screamed, cautious of any form of contact with anything besides the door handle, leather seat or the carpeted flooring, this left Noah utterly speechless and me trying to contain my anger- but I couldn't.
"Hey,hey, hey! Mind your fucking huge ass mouth, Jack!" I mocked, causing me and Noah to erupt in a fit of hysterics, leaving Jack unimpressed and hurrying to get us all to school on time.

Sooner than expected, lunch arrived. The whole day leading up to lunch was such a drag, advanced algebra surely had me losing my brain cells.

Today I agreed to meet up with Finn, something about 'urgent palm something or other'. I don't quite remember but if he says it's urgent, but it's urgent enough for me to skip the constant lunch time, secret book club me and Wyatt have organised.

"Hey." He said, bringing me out of all my previous thoughts.
"Oh, hi." I stated simply, showing a small smile.
"So, are you ready, I'll walk to the library with you." He smiled brightly, gesturing to our usual lunchtime utopia.

"Sorry, Wyatt. I've gotta skip today's adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. Something... urgent... came up." I smile apologetically.

I graciously excused myself, hoping he'd not mind. He didn't; he understood. And I was on my way to meet Finn Wolfhard.

Heading to the agreed meeting point: the quad, I took a steady long look around. I could recognise that raven black mop of curls and illuminating lilac palms from miles away.

"Hiya, soulmate." I jumped and embraced him from behind as soon as I located him, my feet lifting from the ground due to the boys height.
"Right back at ya, soulmate." He smiled widely, his freckles creasing ever so slightly.
I untangle my arms and jump down happily.

"So, what is it you wanted to talk about, Finnie?" I smile just as wide.
"Oh Yeah. Come take a seat real quick." He remembered, gesturing to a nearby bench.

"Well... I think- no, no- I know... Wyatt is not our other soulmate-." He sighed, took a deep breath in some form of worry, presumably waiting for some kind of reaction but all I could do was stare in utter disbelief and annoyance.

"What does that mean!?" I seemed to ask a little too aggressively, causing him to jump back in shock, "Sorry." I smile apologetically, realising his anxiety might trigger.

He took another uneven breath then continued, "N- nuh- no," another uneven breath, "I'm sorry."
I forcefully smiled and held his hand comfortingly, squeezing it slightly when his body would tense, hoping for him to continue.

"He's- he's a bouncer." He stuttered out, in a whisper only the most sensitive to noises could possibly hear, yet I heard.
"A what?" I asked in utter confusion, trying not to sound to forceful.
"A bouncer." He repeated, more loudly and firmly than the last.
I just simply pulled him an expression for him to fully explain himself.

"They get in the way of other relationships."
He paused again.
"They- they only have one glowing palm, the other one has- has no colour." He breathed out.

"Come again?" My British accent flourished in confusion.
"I said Wyatt is trying to come between this," he waved his finger rapidly, gesturing to the both of us, "between us." He smiled lowly, I bet hoping for some form of belief.

"Between us?" I gasped in disbelief.
His breathing suddenly increased.
I took a deep breath, slumping more and more into the bench, then abruptly sitting up.

"Finn, we're not even... we're not even-." I whispered, taking a long look into his chocolate brown orbs.
"In a relationship." He finished in a disappointing sigh, keeping firm eye contact.

I abruptly stood up. I couldn't do it anymore. If I'm truly destined for Finn Wolfhard, then we'll end up together. But for now, I've gotta breathe.

"I'm sorry, but I can't. Not now." I apologised solemnly.
"N-no, I understand." He sadly looked down, "so, I guess you picked Wyatt."

"I picked no one, Finn." I simply stated.

"If what your saying is true, and he's a bouncer, what's so wrong with talking with him? If he is trying to stand between 'us' then we can find a way but why can't I talk to someone that genuinely shares the same interests with me and really makes me laugh?" I chuckle in a surprisingly nonchalantly manner.

"I thought it was you-
But it's not anymore.

I'm sorry I just need space. if we're true soulmates, this won't be the last time I see you... but for now,

Goodbye, Finn."

And that's where I last saw Finn for a while. Sitting regretfully on the quad bench, speechlessly his saddening orbs looking for hope I'd sit down with him again, the shadow of a tree blanketing him, his eyes becoming cloudy and tears threatening to spill- just like me.

Until next time, Finnie.
