Palms || Fillie

And on the streets I walked.
Well, more like ran.
I sprinted to no particular destination, like the love-sickened teenager I was.
And I was love-stricken for Finn Wolfhard.

Finn fucking Wolfhard and his galaxy of freckles, chocolate orbs for eyes and raven black, fluffy clouds of cotton candy for hair.

And that's how I knew.
I don't think of Wyatt like that.
I'm positive.
100%.

If I knew Finn, he'd be off playing his prized guitar on the middle of the streets or on a bench somewhere- on the bench.

I know where he is.

I changed my direction so abruptly from my aimless sprinting, it caused my hole body to topple to the pavement. However, luckily for me, a welcoming hand was offered in front of me from a mysterious helper.

I graciously accepted the gesture and used it to balance myself after fully and slowly standing up. I couldn't look at him, I'm guessing from the bottom half of him, my lowered gaze can only see so much. Still no clue who the hand belonged to, I embarrassedly look up to face a head of noodles.

"Wy!" I exclaimed in happiness, "Thanks so much." I smile apologetically.
"Heya Bobby. Don't worry 'bout it." He flashed a genuine smile with his pearly whites proudly on display.
"But now you owe me." His grin morphed from genuine to mischievous.
"Oh, do I?" I sarcastically mocked, my arms falsely crossed.
"Yes you do." He smirked, "I was just heading to Bennies, come with me. Have a smoothie with me." He confirmed.

"Well, I was just heading of..." I saw his smile fall right off his face and what else was I supposed to say, "Never mind, I'll go with you." I smiled.
"But I thought you were going somewhere." His face displayed pure confusion.
"I was. But now I'm having a smoothie with you." I grinned, staring to walk again, heading directly for Bennies Diner.

So much for picking Finn.

Indulging in light, friendly conversation on our treks to Bennies, I inaudibly heard him utter, yet all I caught was something about 'us', me being the clueless dumb overanalysing bitch I am responded with a "huh?"

"I asked you if you wanted us to sit at a booth or by the window." He smiled.
I let out a relieved breath.
"Booth please." I smiled warmly.
"Sure thing, Bobby." He grinned.
"I thought I told you to stop calling me that," I playfully roll my eyes.
"Too bad. I like it... Bobby." He smirked.

And before we knew it, we were here. Bennies, the home of the most well renowned burgers and milkshakes in the whole of Maine. We took our seats in an unoccupied booth and waited to be served.

"So, Bobby..." Wyatt begun, leaning over the silver plated table with both his arms crossed, a curious expression plastered on his face.
"Yes, Wy?" I asked, the same curiosity laced in my demeanour.
"Where exactly were you headed before I bumped into you? Seemed like you were in a real hurry." He questioned. Since when was Wyatt a detective?
I'm sure he realised that I was uncomfortable because he finished with, "Sorry... I just wanted to know if I was taking you away from something important." He smiled, reassuringly.
"Oh, no, don't worry about it. I was just looking for somebody that I'm pretty sure doesn't want to be found." I disappointingly smile back.
"I could help you look you know." He encouraged.
"I know. But I'm good thanks. I'm sure he'll just end up finding me." I declined, looking for a waiter or waitress that could possibly hurry up and serve us.
"He'll?" He raised a brow.

But before I could provide him with a mediocre explanation, a blonde waitress dressed in black, white and red uniform approached us. Lilia, her printed and pinned name tag read; Jaeden Lieberher's soulmate. Her illuminating palms suddenly shone brighter at the ring of the diners bell. He was here.

"What'll that be guys?" She lolled at the both of us curiously, completely unaware of her fated lovers presence.
"Just a vanilla milkshake please." I smiled thankfully, hoping she'd hurry up and bump into him or something.
"With two straws please." I heard Wyatt add, yet my quick glances between the two gave me no urge to care about the fact I'm sharing my drink with Wyatt.
"That'll be it, thanks." I purposely yell but smile warmly up at her, causing her to jump back in slight shock.

But in the arms of nine other than Jaeden, causing both their palms to brighten dramatically. I harshly squint my eyes, adjusting the sunglasses I had adorned to block as much of the shining rays as possible.

I just look back at Wyatt, apologetically for my sudden outburst. He just smiled.

I just realised how fucking much Wyatt Oleff smiles.
Bloody hell.

After the arrival of our shared order, we thanked Lilia and begun to drink the vanilla by our separate red and white striped straws.

"Bobby." Wyatt said, overlapping the restaurants 90s music playing from their jukebox and the suddenly irritating drinking noises coming from the straws.
"Yes, Wy?" I mocked his tone, yet his face stayed stern.
"I can help you look for him, you know." He referred to our conversation that occurred earlier.
"I know. But I'll be able to find him on my own." I confirmed, smiling reassuringly.

And all I knew at that moment in time was that Finn most likely isn't where I guessed he would be anymore.

This update is extremely late and I'm hella sorry but I'm rewriting wolfbreaker if you want to check that out.
☺️❤️

Also, this book may be nearing its end and I don't know whether to finish with the epilogue or make a sequel.
