It's been three days since my dad left for a trip. I missed him so much and I'm so worried for him. He calls me two times a day to check on me and I'm so glad he does...he's my true hero, always has been.

He called me at 9 o'clock as I was making my way to my house from a grocery shop. It was getting dark and he kept me company for a bit until he had to go. I still didn't reach my house so I walked in silence, just getting lost in my own thoughts when I felt someone grab me from behind and pull me into the corner behind the building. I was shocked at who I saw.

"Blaze?!" I yelled, my yell ending up sounding like a stutter. Blaze covered my mouth and brought his finger to his lips.

"Shh...over there is a portal" he whispered and pointed at the other corner to my right. There were two, which I assumed demons escaping through the portal, with two other waiting as they were mumbling some weird words, which I assumed were spells. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but it was definitely not English.

"What are they saying?" I asked Blaze, making him look at me.

"Demon language. They have a spell for opening wide their portals for escaping." Blaze explained quietly "let's go home and talk, it's dangerous out here, especially cause it's getting dark out" he whispered and took my hand teleporting us by my house.

"I'll meet you in your room, you've got people inside I see" Blaze said and disappeared.

I then walked over k my front door and went inside once I knocked and Sally let me inside. We had dinner and I finally went to my bedroom, to see Blaze taking off his shirt. I bit my lip at the sight and turned around closing the door in front of me and pressing my forehead against it.

"It's okay, you can look" he said quietly, conscious that he might be heard by Sally and Andrew.

"No no...I-I'm good" I mumbled and still faced him with my back. I went to my desk where I left my backpack and started pulling out my books and notebooks to do homework when I felt Blaze's arms around my waist and his chin on my shoulder. Just now I realized how tall and muscular he actually is. Lord...why did he have to take his shirt off..? I'm still a teenage girl god damn it!

"Are you? You seem a bit...nervous" he mumbled into my neck, his hot breath hitting my neck and sending shivers down my spine as I had hundreds of thoughts now running through my head, wishing they'd stop right now.

"Nah I'm not nervous it's just th-"

"-Just what?" Blaze cut me off "just that you've never seen a body in real life like this?" Blaze asked and I knew it wasn't his human side.

"It's true, but...ugh yes. Yeah, fine. Anyw-"

Blaze cut me off again by turning me around quickly and bringing my bum on the table by my thighs.

"Blaze..." I whispered "what are you doing?" I asked.

"Teasing you" he smirked making me roll my eyes, grab my book and smack him in the back of his head with it.

"You asshole!" I said it out loudly. Shit. Sally must've heard it and then started making her way up the stairs, I could hear it. Blaze vanished and I just grabbed my phone pretending to talk to someone when Sally came into my room.

"What is happening?" She asked.

I just looked around as if I was confused "nothing? Just talking to my friend" I lied and shrugged.

"Why are you on the table?" She asked me and I chuckled.

"Don't you do this when you talk to someone? You're like...walking around and...stuff" i just said it probably looking like a complete idiot.

"Ah...yeah well. Go to bed now it's getting late" she said calmly and left leaving my thinking that why should I go to sleep right now if tomorrow is Saturday. I just shook my head, put my phone down and suddenly felt Blaze push me down to bed. I bounced on the mattress as Blaze walked over to me and started hovering above me.

"Blaze" I whispered "for real what are you doing?" I asked him. I began feeling so nervous I didn't even know how to react.

"Why does it matter?" He asked before I cupped his cheeks and looked him into the eyes which weren't black, they were his natural eye color. I suddenly realized. It's him, as a human.

"Blaze...your eyes" I whispered.

"What about them?"

"They're blue"

There was a silent between us. He bit his lip, thinking about this himself. He pulled away from me and we both sat up, but were still so close to each other. At this point both of us didn't know what to say, because it was strange that he behaved like this. He would only be like that when he has a demon side of him. Then I suddenly remembered that I had to ask him if he killed that night.

"Why did you leave for a few days, Blaze? Was it that your demon side was taking over? " I questioned.

"Yeah...But don't worry. I didn't kill humans, there were some other demons so instead I killed them" he mumbled.

"How did you do it? Didn't you want to kill a human?" I asked.

Blaze just brushed his fingers through his curly hair and said "I left because I was turning that night. And all I could see was your face, even when I turned completely, your voice was sounding innuendo head numerous times and...I just don't know" he answered and I could see how lost he felt, because he didn't know what was happening to him. I waited for a bit longer and asked again.

"What was all about what you did a couple of minutes ago?" I watched him as he swallowed as if he faced the fact, which was probably so hard to admit inside.

"Maggie...Sorry if I made you feel in any kind of negative way" he apologized. He really does have humanity and he does care and he realizes. I think there's something inside that's frustrating him a lot, but it's too hard for him to say it, so I decided to just leave it.

I took a deep breath and just hugged him "it's alright...don't worry" I whispered before I could feel him wrap his arms around me.

Something is obviously changing him and I need to find out what is.
