dear Alice,

oh my god. I can't believe I actually know your name now...

and we've talked. in person. and I heard your laugh..

excuse my weirdness haha

I missed writing to you.. is that making you uncomfortable? I'm sorry.

I'm also sorry for ignoring you. it was pretty stupid and I'm really mad at myself for it.

so, how's the song writing been going?

oh! there's this guy in my biology class, he has a total crush on you. I saw him writing your name all over his notebook and I just about died from laughter haha

"I like the summer rain I like the sound you make"

-Luke

P.S.

Do you plan on returning my pencil? haha kidding:)

"Luke? Luke?" His mom, Liz, waved a hand in front of his face as she tried to get his attention.

"Hmm?" Luke finally replied, back from his previous daze.

"I've been calling your name a thousand times for dinner,"

"Oh okay." Luke smiled and folded the letter into a plane, then stood up.

"What's up with you?" Liz asked raising an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" Luke grinned as he smelled the chicken when he reached the bottom of the stairs.

"That!" His mom pointed to him.

"What?"

They both took their seats at the dinner table and dug in.

"You seem to be, I don't know, happier? Like times infinity. You're always smiling and going to school early?"

Luke shrugged, not knowing what his mom was talking about, except that he was happier. Actually, he hated to admit it because it didn't sound manly at all, but he felt giddy inside.

"Are you sick or something?" His mom joked.

"No, mom. I'm perfectly fine," He smiled once again.

"It's a girl isn't it?" Liz smirked and that's when Luke's eyes went big.

"What girl?" He choked.

"Well tell me her name, silly!"

"Fine, it's Alice." Luke sighed.

"How does she look like?"

"The most beautiful person in the universe." Luke wanted to say.

"Not as beautiful as you," He smiled at his mom, making her blush.

"Oh, hush. Just tell me."

"Well, think of that most beautiful person you've ever seen, but like, times infinity."

"Beautiful inside or out?"

"Both."

"You are so whipped," Liz mumbled quietly, laughing to herself.

"What?"

"She sounds nice." She recovers.

"She's more than nice, mom." Luke said to himself.
