A/N: Hey guys so here's Chapter 5 (finally).
My descriptions of Spot and Race are based on a mix of musical appearances and some fan art, but you can picture them however you want.
I'm thinking of giving this story a proper title so if you have any ideas please share them with me.
Also I changed a little bit of the concept of the story and I will go back and change a couple things in the previous chapter to clear this up. Nothing major just putting it in modern times instead of the future and clearing up some soulmate stuff.
Anyway enjoy the chapter!!

Race opened his eyes to see another boy around his age standing above him, glaring angrily. "Hey! I'm talking to you."
Race just closed his eyes again and groaned.

Suddenly Race felt a kick to his side.
"Hello? Get up and apologize for running into me!"
That caused Race to open his eyes in surprise. He needed to apologize? It anyone need to apologize, it was the other boy. He had caused Race to to fall down a flight of stairs!
"Now hold on jackass, you're the one who ran into me." He said pushing himself back up onto his feet.
The other boy scoffed. "If you hadn't been phone you wouldn't have ran into me." He got up in Race's face. "So apologize."
Now that Race could properly see him he noticed that the boy had brown hair that hung to about his chin, it looked as if he had simultaneously both not touched it and styled it to perfection. His clothes weren't the nicest but Race wasn't one to judge. He knew the limited selection in thrifts stores and clothing drives all to well. He also was a couple of inches shorter than Race and had deep brown eyes that were glaring holes into him.
"Even if I was the one who ran into you, which I'm not, I'm the one who just fell down a flight of stairs." Race looked down at him. "So you apologize".
That seemed to be the wrong thing to say because the other boy placed both hands on Race's chest pushing him as hard as he could. Race yelped in pain as he made contact with the wall behind him, his phone falling from his pocket to the floor, yet it wasn't the collision that had caused the outburst. He grit his teeth as another wave of burning pain emanated from his chest, from his soulmark.
"Well shit" Race thought as a million different stories of people meeting their soulmate flew through his mind.
"The first contact always hurts like hell."
"They have to touch you in the place of the soulmark for it to work."
"The pain won't stop until you return the contact."
The boy, his soulmate Sean, rolled his eyes as he took a step closer to Race. "Come on, don't be a pussy, I didn't even push you that ---"
His sentence was cut off as Race placed his hand on the other boy's chest, above his heart, the place Race's own number lie. One last wave of pain crashed through Race's body, and by the way Sean flinched, he felt it too. They both were still for a moment until Sean, seeming to come out of a trance, pushed Race's arm off his chest.
