I sat down on the tiled flooring of the entrance walkway, staring at my cellphone, confused as to how one of my friend's had been able to text me.

A few minutes later, I became even more startled when someone started knocking on the front door, causing me to bolt upright.

"Oh my god" I murmured, holding a hand to my heart before clearing my throat and taking a peek through the peephole of the door.

Tim Medina was standing outside, looking left and right as if he couldn't quite place where he was.

I opened the door quickly, before grabbing his arm and pulling him inside the house, shutting the door behind me.

His eyes widened, before placing his hands on my shoulders as if to see that  I was really there.

"Audrey, I don't know what the hell is going on, but I don't think we're in Santa Monica anymore" he replied, releasing his grip and running a hand through his hair, glancing around at my house.

"Your house seems the same though. Where's your parents and Ate* Ann?" he asked.

I sighed guiding him over to the livingroom and sat him down at the couch, grabbing him a can of cola, before taking a seat beside him.

"Okay, you're going to think this is crazy, but the storm from a couple weeks ago caused a lightning bolt to strike my house, and somehow touching the power on my tv caused me to transport here to this alternate universe of Riverdale." I explained slowly, his eyes widening as he rubbed the side of his face.

"What? Aud, come on." he replied, still in disbelief.

I crossed my arms in front of me. "Okay, humor me this then. How did you get here? What's the last thing you remember?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow challengingly.

He pursed his lips in thought for a moment, before grimacing. "There was another storm recently and I was flipping the channels when a Riverdale rerun episode came on, and I felt more of a static shock, not a lightning bolt and the next thing I knew I woke up, also in my house, but I just assumed my family already went to work and school." he explained, the realization of the situation dawning on him.

"See? Okay I'm not going to hold it against you that it took you this long to contact me considering you probably weren't able to in the first place being in our reality compared to this reality. But I'm not sure yet how we can get back so you're going to have to go to Riverdale high with me for the time being" I explained to him carefully, getting up to go to the kitchen for a snack.

"What? How can I go to another high school?! And how are you going there?" he exclaimed, bewildered as he followed me into the kitchen, taking a seat at the bar stool.

I grabbed a bag of chips, pulling it open and pouring some into a bowl for us to share.

I shrugged, as we walked back to the livingroom. "It wasn't that hard surprisingly. I just went online got the application paperwork and forged my parent's signatures and made up my information." I explained breezily as his mouth widened even more.

I took this chance to toss a potato chip in his gaping mouth, causing him to cough for a moment, and glared at me, munching the chip.

"Audrey, that's illegal" he pointed out, and I rolled my eyes, leaning my feet on the coffee table.

"Well I've been getting by so far. And it's not that bad, although I do miss our family and friends. It's just temporary" I explained before grabbing my laptop and getting the application ready for him.

He still frowned, crossing his arms at this.

"Getting by huh? You probably met that guy you've been crushing on in this show. What was his name? Ricky?" he asked, scoffing a bit as he drank some cola.

I rolled my eyes before grabbing a couch pillow to whack him with.

"No. Reggie.  And I did meet him, and it was very surreal and turns out he's very much a jerk so eh" I murmured with a shrug.

Tim tilted his head slightly, still looking at me with suspicion in his eyes. "Then something else is making all of this more bearable for you" he said, pondering on this.

"Whatever you say, Tim. Come on we have a lot to do to get you ready" I replied, pulling him up from the couch.

After some discussion he would sleep in my sister's room, and I grabbed him some of my dad's extra sleepwear, and we finished filling out all of his paperwork.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of Tim yelling and I had to rush into the room, shushing him.

"Shh. Tim, we can't cause a scene here what is it?" I whispered harshly, and he pointed out the window, where he could see the Riverdale park sign and I slapped him on his arm.

"What? You think we'll just wake up and be back in Santa Monica? We have to get ready" I chastised him before leaving the room.

A little while later we left the house, making sure I'd locked it behind me as we walked down the street towards school.

Betty and Jughead were making their way from her front lawn and glanced at us in surprise so we stopped.

"Betty, Jughead, this is Tim, my old friend from Greendale who is also transferring to Riverdale" I explained with a smile, and Tim didn't miss a beat, smiling at them both, and I could tell Betty noticed how handsome Tim was, much to Jughead's unamusement as he took her hand in his, waving to us before walking ahead of us.

I stiffled a small chuckle as Tim and I walked a few steps behind them towards the high school.

"Okay I'll drop you off at the office, you'll get the schedule check with Weatherby, and then you'll be all set. Just try to blend in" I murmured quietly as he nodded, as we walked through the entrance doors.

After I waited outside of the office for Tim, I spotted Sweet Pea and Fangs walking down the corridor, and they both gave a small nod of acknowledgement, a small smirk on Sweet Pea's lips as he passed by.

I rolled my eyes, unsure why he was giving me such a look and was relieved when Tim finally got out of the office as I walked him down the hallway to his first class.

"Oliveros, who's the new guy?" Sweet Pea asked, raising his eyebrows. Tim kept his head up high, almost puffing out his chest and I wanted to smack him for being awkward.

"Sweet Pea, this is Tim Medina, or some people call him Top. He's an old friend of mine from Greendale. Tim, this is Sweet Pea" I introduced them, not really giving the same friend label to Sweet Pea as I wasn't sure how he'd react.

He seemed to be sizing Tim up, and he was a good couple inches taller than Tim was, and he smiled.

"Oh, nice meeting you man" he said with a nod before walking off. Tim furrowed his eyebrows.

"You hang out with that guy?" he asked, and I shrugged. "Not really. Not much we're both the stagehands for the upcoming musical" I explained leading him to homeroom.

"Aud, you signed up for a musical that sounds a bit more permanent to me" he murmured and I shushed him again, rolling my eyes.

"Go we'll talk later" I nudged him into the homeroom and he gave me a blank look before taking a seat.

I hurried off to my own homeroom class, the last seat available was the desk in front of Sweet Pea's as I quickly set my book bag down and took out my notebook.

"Your friend's staying for awhile then huh?" He asked casually and I shrugged.

"For awhile the year or so. We pretty much grew up together" I said with a small smile, and Sweet Pea nodded, his expression unreadable.

I turned back around ready to listen to our homeroom announcements, hoping Tim didn't do anything in the meantime to draw too much attention to himself.
