Chapter 23: Failed Loss

Bella POV

"It's alright Bella, we'll find them. Try not to think the worst," Esme soothes as she grabs my hand, sitting on the bed with me. I glanced at her.

How could I not think the worst? Jasper was missing, probably gone. Changed and now like Renesmee. So now I'm probably going to have to end up killing both. Which is eating me alive

Yes, I agree we will find them. But it will be to late and we're going to end up having another battle. Battle, battle, battle. I feel like that's all my life has been filled with ever since the Cullen's came back in my life. But I don't regret it, in someways.

But guilt is eating me alive. I can't help but feel that this is all my fault. I brought him into this. I divided the groups and put Renesmee with someone else. Maybe if she had come with me, she would still be here. And maybe Jasper.

But then, maybe they would still have Renesmee, or they would have gotten someone else. Maybe the wolves would never have come, they liked Renesmee. There's so many maybes, and what ifs. But somehow, I know there was no way we could have prevented this.

I stood suddenly, making Esme let go. I send her the best apologetic look I can and motion her to follow me. We walk down the hallways and come up to the throne room doors, I pause. Everyone stood behind these doors right now, doing who knows what. Probably discussing the fight, and my failure.

Esme puts a comforting hand on my shoulder and I take a deep breath. Well, here goes nothing.

Esme drops her hand as I push open the doors and everyone turns. They move aside as I walk, making room for me to come by. Jem joins my side, looking sad. The Cullen's along with Mady, Bree, Sofia, Fang, and Sarren stand near the edge of the steps that lead up to the throne.

I nod. Jem grabs my hand and I squeeze it lightly as I turn to all the grim faces in the room, matching my own. I take another deep breath. Thankfully, no one looks angry, at me.

"As you know, Renesmee is still alive, and Jasper is missing," I start, "I apologize extremely for not being able to finish the job. But I'm sure you understand how hard it must have been," I pause and everyone nods.

"Zylen is dead, but his sister is also alive with Renesmee. We have no idea how large their army is that they have left, or where, and what condition they are in. As for Jasper, well," I pause, "we're going to have to expect the worse."

There are a collective gasps around the room and I step down the steps, turning to my small group. Jem still holds my hand.

"I'm sorry!" I chock out, venom pools my eyes. Jem bursts out crying and buries her head in my side. I pat her lightly on the back.

"You know we don't blame you, Bella," Rose says and walks over to hug me. Surprisingly, so does Alice. Followed by Sofia, Esme, Mady, and Bree.

Suddenly, we're all lifted and our feet dangle in the air.

"Group hug!" Emmett's voice booms. We laugh and everyone in the room starts piling on.

For moment, I forget all about the troubles, the heartache, and pain. That it's just all of us against the world. It's a small moment meant to be cherished. I never really realized how precious life really was, even thou I should have. I was a vampire after all.

Now all I had to worry about was killing the two people I loved most in the world. I thought it would have been the easiest thing in the world, Renesmee was on the opposite side. But as I figured out, it wasn't.

I also had to talk to Sarren about that damn cure we all needed to take. Apparently, death by murder wasn't the only kind of way to die that we needed to worry about.

This ain't over!!!!!!! There's one more chappie!! Then I'm doing a book four, just cuz it seems fit, so there. You ain't sayin nothin about it. Don't judge my awesomeness:)

So yes, your all going to have to wait until the next book to see if Bella is able to kill Jasper and Renesmee!! Or, if she's dies!! Evil laugh!!! Mwhahahaha.

Anyhoo, one more chapter!!! Yay! I'll try and get it up later. Then, I gotta figure out which book to work on the most next. Soooo, thennnn, I can finish that one! Yay, I just love finishing books.

Which book would you like to see finished the most? (The ones I have up now, so don't say the four book to this series:P)

Annnd, we're finally getting rid of the bull we have in our backyard. Yes, he's kinda like a pet. We had two cows too, but then we sold them! So yay, and I think my little brothers insane. Or he took after me and became and evil mastermind>:D
