Chapter 6: Heading To Texas

Bella POV

"Hey Bella?" Mady asked as we passed over the boarder of West Virginia. I glanced at her and hummed in question. "Who are we meeting in Texas? She asked. I frowned slightly for a moment, trying to remember if she's met them before. No, I don't think so.

"Well, we're meeting some old family and friends of ours. Mostly just me and Jasper, Peter and Charlotte Whitlock." I say. Her eyes widen slightly.
"Jasper and them are all related?!" She asks incredulous. I laugh.
"No, not exactly. Jasper changed both of them. Peter stuck with 'em and Char's Peter's mate. After everything they went through, they created their own little coven for awhile before Jasper went off on his own and found the Cullen's." I explained.

Mady made an 'oh' sound and looked deep in thought. I waited patiently as she thought about everything I just told her. She's been through a lot this past year or two and I worry much about her. She worries me.

"Can you tell me about it?" She asks suddenly.
"What?" I ask. She sighs.
"Their past, how they met and all."
"Oh," I started, not a good idea. "Not right now, you should probably ask them about it later. But not right now, with everything that's happened and what you've been through. Their past ain't a pretty picture." I say.

She nods and is silent for a while as we pass over a boarder, entering Tennessee. I remember coming here with Ness, we went mountain climbing and collected awesome rocks near the fast flowing rivers. The place was amazing, it was even cooler when it snowed. It reminded me of something out of a Christmas fairy tale.

"Could you tell me about Peter and Char then?" She asks as we near Arkansas.
"Like their personalities?" She nods. "Well Peter is a two-timing blabber mouth. He's not afraid to speak his mind, no matter how dirty. He's very cocky and likes to play jokes, kinda like Emmett but worse. Charlotte like's to be called Char, she's very caring and loving. But their both big fighters and very serious when it comes to fighting and/or war." I explain.

"He's worse than Emmett?!" She asks incredulous. I nod.
"Yep, one of a kind. Emmett's second worse."

It's quiet again as we run quickly through the woods and take in what little beautiful scenery we can catch. Mady was never really the one to talk, which is just fine with me because Ness and me are exactly the same. That's why we use to get along very well together back in FL.
I still can't believe she's here and knows everything about Ness and me. Of course I always thought I would never see her again, and it would have been just another short, silly, relationship with a human. But I was wrong, which everyone's wrong at some point; most just don't like to admit it.

"We're here, look!" Mady pointed out, bringing me out of my thoughts. She was right, right there was a sign that said 'Howdy Partners! Welcome To Texas!', in big bold letters. Very cheesy in my opinion and reminds me of the welcome to Forks one.
Now all we had to do was find Peter and Char, which they shouldn't be hard to find. Since Peter almost knows everything and I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly popped out of the shadows.
