"Woah, it took so long but we finished!" Jihoon exclaimed. The boy hi-fived Woojin who was beside him and I sat next to Jinyoung.

"Congrats." Jinyoung said to me.

"Thanks. This was so much work."

The bell rang, signalling lunch and the boys all ran off, leaving Jinyoung and I behind. The spring breeze entered through the open window and it was refreshing.

"Do you wanna go to the rooftop, I think it'll be really nice up there." Jinyoung invited me.

"Yeah, why not?"

Since only I knew how to get there, I lead the way and I pushed the door open, which allowed a short gust of wind into the building. I closed my eyes to feel the cool air passing my and then I walked out, holding the door open for Jinyoung.

"Thanks." He said to me.

Us two stood right against the barriers in the edge and Jinyoung scanned the surrounding area.

"Wow, I never thought the school would be this large." Jinyoung marvelled.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool. There are dozens of cherry blossom trees dotted around the premises so the whole place is literally covered in pink leaves." It was refreshing to be in a place like this- where I didn't have any problems and I could relax.

"Do you think we should get back to the others? They're probably wondering why we never followed them to the dining hall." He suddenly said. Of course, everyone prefers to be with them. At the end of the day, I will always be alone again. I hate myself because I always get my hopes up like this. I trust strangers way to easily and then I'm disappointed.

"Um, oh yeah. sure..." I mumbled. I don't know why, but it seemed like Jinyoung saw my sad face when I accidentally dropped my smile for a split second because his next sentence took me by surprise.

"Or we could just stay here. We'll see the others after lunch anyways." He waved his lunchbox in front of my face and smiled, creases around his mouth making him look genuinely happy.

"...Okay."

We found a comfortable area to sit, It was right at the boundary where the shadow and sunlight met. I sat in the shadowed areas whilst Jinyoung faced me, sitting under the warming sunlight. I took in a deep breath, inhaling all the clean, crisp air, before opening the plastic packaging of the bun I forgot about. I took a bite, savouring the taste because I forgot to eat breakfast this morning, causing my hunger to almost engulf me in the previous period.

"Why don't you tell be about youself then, Daehwi?" Jinyoung started a conversation. I was stuck on what to say and I began to feel nervous. No one had ever asked me to introduce myself, well not since I had to do my introduction when I entered highschool. What can I say about myself?

I eventually started talking because I realised I had dragged the silence on for too long and it would be suspicious to him.

"Um, well. My name's Lee Daehwi." I began and he burst into laughter, I couldn't help but smile back and chuckle - his laugh was too contagious.
