The balance reality, home of both good and evil creatures of all kinds, ranging from humans to dragons of all colors. The whole reality was ran by only one man. His name was Zao Menchan. He was my dad.He was married to my mom named Celisa Menchan. They both had two young daughters, Dakota and me. I was the oldest out of the two and had more of a taste for the bad side of the reality while Dakota was more toward the good side of the reality. I was five and Dakota was three at the time. School was about to become a thing for Dakota while I had already been in school.I mostly enjoyed to draw to play catch and release with small animals like lizards and even fish. As we grew older into their teenage years, I, who was a Junior, studied mainly Dark matter, curses and mind perception. Dakota was more focused on healing and self defense.

"GIrls! Breakfast!" Our mom called from the bottom floor of the tall castle. It was made of mostly brick but didn't really look like a mid-evil castle. It was filled with gardens and nature itself. I walked down the stairs with my pajamas on as Dakota walked behind her in her school uniform already. She was wearing a Black tank-top with the school's logo on the left side and a skirt with long white socks on. She also was wearing black shoes. "Well someone's ready for school." My mom said.

"School doesn't even start for another hour." I said as I yawned.

"I don't care. I can dress up when I feel like it." Dakota said. She had just entered the school as a freshman and actually liked the school uniform. She found it pretty comfy.

"Suit yourself then." I said. My mom turned around with two plates of scrambled eggs and bacon, one in each hand.

"Here you go, enjoy." Our mom said with a smile.

"Thanks mom!" Dakota said.

"Looks delicious," I said also. Withing ten minutes, Our plates were empty. We went and washed our plates and got ready for school. A few minutes later, we were off. We lived just a few paths down from the school. We walked down the cobble steps and onto the stone path.

"Hey Nicky!" A voice called. It was one of my friends from school who was also walking.

"Hey Tirana." I said. Dakota stayed quiet. She got really awkward around my friends and most new people. She hardly knew any of my friends. "You ready for that dark matter quiz today?"

"Easy, almost too easy," Tirana said.

"There you go. I didn't study but you know how much I love this topic." I said.

"Yeah, it would surprise me if you got just and A instead of an A plus." Said Tirana. I was known to be the princess of dark matter around the reality. Sometimes it would scare her parents. But, they knew that that knowledge was is the right and safe hands of their daughter. If it was in the wrong hands, an unknown power of ultimate destruction could be created and wipe out everything known to the universe.

"Well, I'm sure it'll be easy. I've got a quiz as well for my Curses class." I was more into the torturous and violent classes.

"I've got a healing test today," Dakota said in a very meek voice.

"Nice, so when I accidentally hurt myself, you can heal the wound?" I asked.

"Maybe, but I have to learn how to make the pain go away as I heal." Dakota explained. Her voice was shaky.

"Hm, ok then." After a few minutes, we all made it to the front of the school. It was the middle of the school year for them and winter was almost over. The city didn't really get any snow this year and it was relatively warm this year. The hottest day was in December and it was a burning 75° in winter! "Alright Dakota, see you after school." I said.

"Ok" she said in her meek voice. We split and went to our classes. School days only last a couple of hours since they didn't have multiple classes a day like a normal school would. The school day was over like a dream. I wouldn't get her quiz results back until the next day. If I passed with above a hundred percent, I would be entered into a raffle for a free scholarship to the top University there is. Only a select number of people would be accepted to the University. It was like a one in a million chance of being accepted. Dakota passed her little quiz and moved onto the next topic. The history of Wizardry. Every student found this the most boring topic tho.

We both made it home with smiles on our faces with good feelings about their test and quiz. "Hey, how was your guy's day?" Our mom asked.

"It was pretty good," I said.

"I passed my quiz!" Dakota said excitedly.

"Oh good!"She said. "Did you pass you test?"  she said as she faced me.

"I don't know yet. I won't know until tomorrow." I said.

"Well lets hope you passed then." Mymom said with a smile.

"It'll take a mirical for that to happen."

"Why do you say that?" Dakota asked.

"Some of the stuff I didn't even know. Plus you can't miss a single question." I explained.

"Well, it's your favorite subject of all time," my mom said. She wasn't wrong after all. I've always looked on the web about dark matter and did research about it. A few hours later, the sun started to set. I climbed out of her window onto a small ledge below it. Then I grabbed a hold of the roof and pulled myself onto the top of it. I walked to the top and sat on where the two sides of the roof meet. I waved my hands around and casted a spell on myself. It was a temporary spell that I casted. It was the spell of Blindsight. I had the ability to stare directly at the sun without going blind or having to squint. A slight breeze made my hair fly gently to the left. It was a beautiful, clear sunset that evening. I knew that I will become powerful in my future, but for now, I would just be looking onward into the sunset.
