"What?!" I said in a whisper. "You? a creator? But how?"
"I don't know how. I just am. I was trained by dragons but left because I didn't want to have to fight the big evil." He explained.
"I thought creators were just a myth, that they went extinct, after what Kanthar did..." I said. I couldn't believe that I was talking to a creator, let alone that I just kissed a creator.
"Some survived, but most were killed off. Kanthar must be stopped." He said. I didn't exactly know what Kanthar was doing in this reality.
"What's Kathar's plan right now?" I asked.
"He's going to try and destroy all realities, starting with this one." He said. "But we need to work together. You're more powerful that you think, your highness."
"What do you mean, I'm more powerful?" I asked. Could I also be a creator? I didn't know whether I should ask him or not.
"We need to unlock your abilities first though and train you." He said
"Wait, unlock my abilities? Am I a..." I said as I stopped in shock.
"Yes, yes you are. Want to know your color?" He asked.
"Yes! Please!" I begged.
"Ok, calm down first and breath." He said. I sat down, attempting to calm myself. I started taking deep breaths.
"Ok, now, close your eyes and dig deep into yourself."
"How do I do that?" I asked.
"Just..look into your inner self." I started to feel myself. I tries to look through my conscience and my soul. Eventually, I saw a tiny pixel of light. I was standing in a dark void. I walked towards the light, which came out to be white. I got to the core of the light and saw a small white crystal.
"I'm a white Elemental!" I yelled. I opened my eyes to see Jordan standing in front of me with a smile across his face.
"Now, we must get home, it's gonna get dark here really quick." He recommended.
"Ok." I said in agreement.
"We'll come back here tomorrow to train with swords again. We meet in the armory?" He asked.
"Sure. Sounds good."
"Shall I walk you home, princess?" He asked.
"You may, kind sir." I said with a smile.
"I prefer gentleman." He said playfully.
"Just accept sir, you're not even an adult yet anyway." I said. "Wait, how did you even become the lead guard if you're not an adult?" I asked. The age limit was eighteen or up.
"Well, why are you becoming lead guard so soon?" He asked.
"To help fight off Kanthar with my leadership skills, which may earn me the queen spot in this reality." I explained.
"I'm lead because of my impressive fighting skills and knowledge." He said.
"Makes sense." The top crest of the sun was about to disappear behind the mountains behind us. Crickets could be heard throughout the land. Owls sat in trees, waiting for their prey.
We made it back to the castle, just in time for dinner. Jordan went with the other guards to eat as I went to the royal table where my family already sat. Food was brought to the table quickly by the royal chefs. We had Turkey, Mashed potato's, beans, rice, fruit, vegetables, soup and more. Half of our family came from the city and into the castle to eat with us.
The food was gobbled down within an hour and everyone was stuffed. I felt like I had gained a few pounds and felt fat. I decided to go to my room after and get ready for bed. I changed into my pajamas and decided to go to my balcony to watch the starts.
I heard a slight rustling in the bushed below. Although there was a slight breeze, I knew that the week wind couldn't make the bushes blow around. I knew exactly who it was.
"Oh Romeo, Oh Romeo, where are thou Romeo?" I said, trying to let him know that I knew of his presence.
"Oh shut up. This ain't no Romeo and Juliet play." He said.
"Well it ,might as well be, seeing as you're coming up to my room." I said.
"Good point, but I only came to talk." He said. He climbed up and hoped over the wall that was on my balcony. Jordan's blue eyes sparkled in the night. Butterflies consumed my stomach when I saw his face.
"About what?" I asked.
"About us." He said. I could see his cheeks slightly turning red, but I could feel heat overtaking my cheeks.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Do you really, secretly, want to become a thing?" He asked.
"Uhm...well.....maybe.....I don't know." I said.
I know, way to go me. I'm practically rejecting him when I know I want to be with him.
"It's ok if you don't want to, I under-" He was saying until I cut him off.
"No, Jordan, I want to, it's just...I want to get to know you better." I said
"Oh, ok, you could tomorrow when we train." He said.
"Yeah, that sounds good."
"We could actually start tonight, right now if you want." He said. "Or are you going to sleep now?"
"No, now seems ok." I said. We walked into my room and sat down on my bed. "So, what do your parents do around here?" I asked.
"Well, my mom makes and fixes clothes at a shop a few paths down for here." He said.
"And your dad?" I asked.
"Dead. He died fighting Kanthar back then. I never met him." He said At this point, I felt really bad for asking and for him in general.
"So you were the man of the house, huh?" I said.
"Yeah, my mom has been devastated ever since I left to join the guards." He said.
"I'd like to meet her one day, give her a hug and reassure her that everything is ok." I told him. He nodded his head.
"She's very lovely."
"I know she is, given how lovely you are." I said. Did I really just say that to him? He blushed a little. "I'll stop now."
"No, it's ok." He said, still blushing. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Nicky?" My mom called .
"Crap, quick, out the window!" I said as i pointed to the balcony.
"Got it." Jordan said. Luckily he didn't have his armor on as he ran out. He swung himself over the wall, hanging onto the top, then jumping down. I tucked myself underneath my blankets and acted as if I was going to sleep.
"Going to sleep already?" My mom asked when she walked in. "Why is your window open to the balcony?" She asked.
"Oh, I forgot." I said as I tried to think of many excuses.
"Alright well, just checking up on you." She said. "Goodnight"
"Goodnight."
"I love you." She said as she began closing the door to my room.
"I love you too."
Me and Jordan...huh. Maybe, when I become queen....he might be able to become king. But it'll take a miracle with arranged marriage, unless I change that law as queen first! I thought to myself. But lets just focus on training for now.
