His Melody (Complete)

Chapter 11

Upon the arrival of the two, Melodie couldn't help but smile. She so desperately wanted to say the name of her angel, but knew she couldn't with her parents in the room. She wanted to be alone with him. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this. I know it isn't ideal, yet this is how things will be for a while." Erik came to her side.
"Just know that I love you. I always will," Melodie smiled. "I mean every word."
"Mother, Father can you leave for a few minutes?"
Christine glanced to her daughter, then to Erik, then to Gleb. Gleb was frozen. His daughter was smiling at a man that brought nothing but torment and tears. "Of course," Christine uttered, then turned to Gleb, leaving Melodie and Erik to talk alone.
"Mr. Y you love me?"
"Yes, Melodie please call me Erik."
"Well Erik, I love you too." Erik's heart skipped a beat.
Melodie sighed for a moment, remembering that she wouldn't be going to Phantasma for a while. She always felt nervous when she was told she wouldn't be going somewhere for a long time, but in this case it would be for the better. Erik gently put his finger under her chin. He made his beautiful Melodie look at him with her bright blue eyes. She was so beautiful, how could she love a man like him. Him a man who is as ugly as death. A man who tried to love her mother. A man that loved music just like she did.
"As Soon as you get better we will share everyday singing and writing music. That is a promise I will hold till death."
"Erik as soon as i get better i will sing only for you. I will never leave your side."
Erik felt a rush of happiness come over him. No one in his entire life has ever said anything so kind. For once in his life he will not be alone in darkness. Erik hugged Melodie as she sat up.
"O Melodie I know you will be the death of me."
Melodie laughed in his shoulder. Melodie loved being embraced by Erik. she felt safe in his warm and strong arms. Melodie snuggled her head in his neck.
"Erik you know i love you for you."
"Yes i do."
"Can you please show me your face?"
Erik felt fear come over him. The last time he showed his face to someone they ran away in fear.
"It's okay you don't have to if..."
"No. If you love me promise me that you won't run in fear."
Erik looked in her eyes as she nodded. Erik slowly removed the mask from his face closing his eyes. His face had many scars, the entire right side of his face was disfigured. Melodie gently placed her hand on his face.
"My poor Erik." she said with tears in her eyes.
"O Melodie."
"Every man that hurt you like this deserves to be in hell."
Erik let out a slight chuckle.
"Erik look at me."
Erik opened his eyes. Melodie looked into his brown beautiful eyes.
"Erik you are so beautiful don't let anyone tell you that your not."
She leaned in and kissed his deformity. Erik let the tears in his eyes slide down his cheeks.
Melodie wiped the tears away as he looked back in her eyes. Erik cupped her face in his hands and gently leaned in and kissed her gently. Melodies eyes fluttered shut and she kissed him back with all the love she had. Erik loved Melodie and now with her in his arms he knew he was complete with her. Erik pulled away slowly.
"I love you Erik."
"I love you more Melodie."
'Can you please lay next to me?"
"Of course my dear."
Erik sat in the bed next to his lovely Melodie, She rested her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes enjoying the company of Erik.
"Mother, Father you can come in now." Melodie said knowing her parents were right outside the door. Gleb and Christine walked in holding hands then going over to sit on the couch next to the window. Christine smiled as she snuggled into Glebs arms. Gleb had a look of suspicion on his face. Christine nudged him and smiled at him. He smiled back them both knowing that their child was in love.
