Lisedi

It was almost guaranteed that I slept like a big ass baby after that. And I did. So did Aubrey. I woke up with the upper half of his body practically on top of mine. His face between my breast. One hand in my hair. The other squeezed between my thighs. He claimed that it kept his hands warm.

I was able to grab my phone off the nightstand without moving much. There were a few texts. A couple acquaintances from high school and college that still had my number since I never changed it. The same ones who left comments on my IG photo from last night. They were trying to what was up. Saying how beautiful I looked and if they could kick it with me sometime soon. I couldn't be mad, no one knew I was married except the people in this house and my family. The detectives at the station kept that tight lipped. It was public record but you wouldn't know unless you went looking for it.

The volume of Aubrey's snores increased. That's how I knew he was sleeping good. This would be the perfect time to work on his gift. I only had a few more days to do so.

A methodically slide from underneath him without disturbance. He left I nice pool of drool of my sternum. Thanks babe. That's real sexy.

He groaned and mumbled something, then rolled over and laid on his stomach. Just as I was about to stand up his arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back on the bed.

"No," he mumbled, "I was sleeping on them titties just fine."

I giggled at those big brown eyes that couldn't stay open. He lifted his head and put it right back between my breast. I massaged his scalp with my fingertips until I heard those snores again. Then I made another attempt to slip away, which was successful this time.

I brushed my teeth and put warm washcloth to my face to wash with my daily cleanser. I rung it out and wiped Aubrey's drool pool off.

I grabbed one of my tank tops and a pair of sweats to put on before traveling downstairs to my new art room. I haven't even put a dent into what I wanted to do with it, but for right now it would do until I finished Aubrey's gift. Right now, my focus was getting it complete after which I could start designing the space.

I opened the blinds to let the sunrays pour in, drew back the cover from the canvas and started playing music from the 90'sR&B station on the Pandora app.

Chaka Khan's Sweet Thing was the perfect mood setter. I softly sang along as I prepped my materials. I wanted everything out and ready to go on my little table before I sat down.

An hour passed by easily once I started putting strokes to the canvas. I used the photo on my phone as reference. Details were very important when it came to portraits. It was a major key. Therefore I had to blend certain colors to create exact skin tones. Particular stroking techniques allowed me to perfectly structure and fill in Aubrey's signature beard and thick eyebrows. I made sure to capture the essence of his dreamy half moon eyes, long lashes and full lips.

Thirty more minutes had passed and I completed ½ of the portrait. The last phase would be his mother. It was very important to me to capture all of her facial details as well.

"Lisedi! You down here?!"

Good Lord, Tatianna. Could you be any louder this early?

"Oh, there you are," the door swung open. She walked in what appeared to be Future's sweats and shirt clothes.

"People sleep on this hallway. Could you be any louder? Close the door."

"Oooh well excuse me miss I live in a mansion now," she rolled her eyes, "let's not talk about being loud. With all that screaming, grunting, groaning and headboard banging I don't know how I went to sleep. You should invest in a soundproof room."
