Broken but Together Shatt

Check ups

Shiro was walking down the hallway, sweaty and sticky, he wanted a shower. A shower sounded like heaven after the day he had, hell it was just past lunch and he was tired of it. Hunk and Pidge started the day off seemingly fine. They didn't ask question which he even say if they had any they could ask but lucky for him there wasn't. Later Coran scolded him on his protection should be used. He was not in the mood for that. After that Lance found him and wanted all the details and to which Shiro was not happy. Lance persisted though on at least the confession part. Then commented on how he would do it. Which made the black paladin to get a headache and caused his stress levels to go through the roof. Keith then found Shiro and offered to spar. That he loved, he wanted that to be just normal. Which it was. Keith then left and Shiro just was left to himself to train. Then he was here, sweaty, hot, testosterone almost through the roof but he just let it be.

"Shiro!" A voice called out to him. Shiro let out an audible groan, "What now?" He tried his damn hardest to sound somewhat kind but he was pissed still. He turned to find Pidge, she didn't acknowledge his annoyance and pretended everything was normal. "Matt wants to see you in the med bay. Something about needing to do a check up to understand your file. I don't know just go see him." Shiro only abruptly nodded and walked off in that direction. Still wanting his damn shower that he probably wasn't gonna get till the late hours of the night then having to drag the paladins to bed afterwards.

Shiro walked into the med bay and sat on the examination table with a grunt, kinda pissed. Matt turned to look at him and smiled softly, "Rough day so far?" Shiro grumbled, "I want a shower and a nap. Then again I can't have that now can I?" Matt walked over and kissed his cheek, "I promise I will be quick," he watched as Shiro relaxed a bit as Matt took his hand rubbing his thumb over the top of it. "First let's get you calmed down. Then we can talk about your files." Matt grabbed Shiro's neck and pulled him down so their foreheads were touching knowing that the paladin found the action comforting. 3 minutes has pasted and Matt pulled away much to Shiro's disappointment.
"Now," he started, "let's look at those files shall we?"

They spent a good 20 minutes checking his files and re-taking vitals making sure it was up to date. Shiro's heart beat was strong and wasn't as wonky as it was before, which matt was glad, the 3 good nights of sleep he's been having have been helping. "I want to prescribe naps." Matt looked at him with all seriousness. Shiro wanted to take it as a joke but he really couldn't. He knew Matt was serious. "Your body is currently trying to make up for lost sleep and it's making your schedule of  REM sleep off. You aren't sleeping a healthy amount and your cycle isn't working as it should." Shiro looked at him amazed. "How did you know that?" Matt looked at him, "The ship has a way to track sleep without having a special room for everything. It would take up too much space. Pun not intended." Matt looked at him, "I want you to try to take a nap from the hours of 1-3 every day for a week. Maybe it can help, that also means no caffeine. If you can't nap just take the time alone in your room to think or just rest. It will help you relax. Once everything is in place we can change the schedule to fit your day to day activities. I would prescribe a sleeping aid but I'm worried that if Voltron is needed you wouldn't be awake for it." Matt could tell shiro was scared, "And the nightmares?" Matt looked at him, "During those hours I will keep your video feed up. If you wake up I will be right there to help calm you down." Shiro nodded and looked down at his hand, matt didn't move it away as he worked a with his other, still holding on to the paladin's hand soothing him.

There was a long silence before Matt put the screen away, "Alright you should be good to go." Shiro didn't want to leave, but he also still wanted that shower. Maybe he could have both. "Hey Matt," matt turned around, "would you like to join me for a shower?" Matt's smile widened and he looked at shiro with a grateful smile. "I would love to."
