"Good to have you back Ms. Parker." Chad teased sitting my coffee on the desk. I couldn't lie, it felt good to be back in my office. "You got those papers from Sarah huh?" I stood up letting my bare feet roam the soft carpet. "I did and she's sending them tonight. Something about that Jone guy checking out her computer." I rolled my eyes. "What the fuck is he? A damn inspector." Chad laughed making me do the same. "Like seriously why is he spending so much time here?"

"Maybe to see you." I froze like I had a gun to the back of my head. "I know you don't like me being here but it seems you don't have much of a choice." I turned around with a frown on my face. If Chad's looks could kill he would've been six feet under. "Could you excuse us?" He looked at Chad sternly making him storm out the room closing the door.

"What do you want Jone?" I folded my arms giving nothing but annoyance and attitude. "To be honest, you." He trailed off walking closer making me back away. "You know I have a man and clearly pregnant." I rubbed my little man through the blue body con dress. "Pregnant pussy the best pussy." He went in to grab me but I smacked the shit out of him. "Get away from me!" I pushed him all the way to the door while he held his face. "You know you want me Adrian that weak ass light skin nigga can't fuck with me." He gripped my wrist hard making me wince. "He's a better man than you could ever be!" I pushed his head back with all my might.

"I'm done playing games with your ass. The next time you ever try anything I'm telling my boss and my man." I slammed and locked the door rushing back to my seat. It felt like my heart was pounding out my chest, the only reason I kept this away from Melvin is to keep the peace. But at this point I had to tell him.

My phone started ringing breaking me from my thoughts. Like God knew exactly what I needed Melvin was on the line. "Hello?" "Hey baby, you free for lunch?" I smiled but glanced at all the paperwork on my desk. "I can't leave right now ... but you can always come to me." I bit my lip waiting for an answer.

"Aight' I'm bringing wings, see you when I get there." I smiled hanging up the phone. I had butterflies and the bubble guts. A firm knock hit my wooden door before Chad came storming in.

"What happened?" He looked confused. "We seen Jone storming into his office with his tail tucked between his legs holding his face." He busted out laughing like it was the greatest news ever. I only lightly chuckled.

"Did he do anything to you?" He rushes over to me grabbing my hand. Slowly, I shook my head no blinking away all the angry tears I had built up. "Adrian, baby you can tell me."

"He tried touching me, it's been going on for a while but I always stopped it. Each time it seems to get more aggressive." He held onto me tight as I let the river flow and sniffs take over me.

"I will go kill that motherfucka!" Out of nowhere he pulled out a razor charging for the door. I quickly grabbed him by his arm smiling on the inside for his concern but scared to have this shit out.

"No! J-just lemme think." I rubbed my sweaty palms together feeling my anxiety get the best of me. "Baby there's nothing to talk about or think on. You have to tell Melvin. He's going to kill that nigga!" It felt like my heart had stopped, like I was a little girl faced with sneaking out and risking it all. That was the only way I could describe the turns in my tummy minus having a baby.

"Daddy's in the house!" Melvin came in with open arms and food that I regret smelling almost instantly. "Do what's right boo." He whispered gripping my hand. "Hey handsome." He joked with Melvin giving him a side hug.

I wanted to run right out that door with his ass but I knew I couldn't.

"Hey sexy." He brought me into a bear hug rubbing all over my body. "Hey." I kissed his neck then him. "You look good as fuck, ain't nobody up here testing you right?" He said jokingly as he rubbed my stomach. I froze blinking my eyes to keep everything down.
