Adrian Parker fights for her life, between school and an abusive relationship she meets Melvin Gregg. She finds safety in him but does he carry those same rush of emotions for her?
"You are showing so well girl!" I laughed switching angels in the mirror so she could get a better look. I was facetiming Melvin's grandmother giving her updates. "Yeah he's getting big and I'm four months. I can't wait to meet him." I smiled rubbing my belly. "Girl Melvin has really outdone himself. I thought that child would never sit down long enough." I laughed nodding my head. "True. He's meeting me at the doctor's office today. They're just making sure the baby is okay." "Alright baby I'm let you go, love you."
"I love you too." The call ended. I slipped on a tank top and some tights. It was pretty hot outside so I didn't want to over dress. I got a new car a few months back but I'm always in Melvin's so there was no need in burning my gas at the time. I unlocked my black BMW sitting my purse and papers in the passenger's seat. I had to switch Doctor's because the lady had too many of my questions unanswered. She seemed like she didn't deserve the title of Doctor. She had fucked over so many things.
"I'm here to see Dr. Gonda, my appointment is at 11:30." "We'll fill these out for me and she will call you back in a sec." I returned the friendly smile she was giving me accepting the clipboard. I sat down updating everything, I always hated going through the family history. It was so many questions I didn't have answers to. I didn't know if diabetes ran in my family, I only had brief memories of my mom and I think she was healthy?
"Wassup girl." I looked up seeing Melvin smiling from ear to ear. "Hey baby." I stood up kissing him and hugging him. I looked over his shoulder seeing a girl, a pretty girl standing a little close. "Who is that?" I whispered making him turn around. "Oh, this my assistant Tory, Tory this is my wife; Adrian."
"Hi. It's nice to meet you." She seemed straight up and like she knew her place. "Hey and it's nice to meet you." I smiled sitting back down with Melvin at my hip. "He's always talking about you. Must be a pretty great woman." I looked at Melvin and he was too busy working on his phone. I only nodded my head mentally rolling my eyes. Melvin gripped my hand kissing it before drawing lazy circles around it. I laid my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my belly.
Every now and then I will look up and see her looking at staring at us making it uncomfortable.
"Parker?!" My head popped up grabbing my things. Melvin grabbed my purse leaving his assistant. "Hey how you doing." "I'm doing great, Im just ready to see my little man." We all laughed entering the room.
Melvin helped me up on the to sit on the "bed."
"Have you been having any pains or any difficulty with anything?" She rubbed the cold gel on my stomach. "Yeah I have actually. Sometimes it feels like this boy is everywhere when I know he isn't. I know he isn't that big to be like that yet is he?"
"Well let's calm down and take a look." I held onto his hand as she searched for the baby. "Wait, what is that?" He stopped pointing at what looked like four legs. My heart started racing. "Is he okay?" I asked the doctor sitting up which shifted the baby showing something else.
"Uhh Ms. Parker, these are twins!" I looked at this bitch like she had three fucking heads and a dick on her nose. "What do you mean two babies?" I shook my head trying to hear her right, both me and Melvin. "You're having twins! The reason you couldn't see your other little boy is because you've only been feeding enough for one. You've been stressed clearly and that takes away from them. I don't see how your OBGYN missed this. The big baby has just been covering up his little brother which explains your pains."
I gasp as my other little boy appeared. The tears started running down my cheek as Melvin hugged and kissed me. "Yesss!" He cheered making me laugh. "Ooo God I'm so happy this happened." He pecked my lips looking at the ultrasound. Dr. Gonda cleaned me up handing me a new disk of my other baby's heart beat.
"Just eat more and work less. Little man has plenty of time to grow and gain just be patient." I smiled hugging her. "Thank you so much." She nodded her head writing off a prescription. "I didn't know I was fucking you that good." Melvin got behind me whispering freaky shit in my ear making me giggle. We went back to the waiting room seeing his assistant posted up in a corner.
"You can take the rest of the day off. We just got some good news and would like to celebrate." Melvin kissed my forehead making me smile. "What's the news?"
"We're having twins!" I cheered clapping making everyone look at me but I didn't give a fuck. "Ooh that's nice, you're about to blow up honey." My face straightened looking at her funny. I wasn't sure if she was happy or throwing shade. Before I could decide between the two she gathered her things and left.
"What's her deal?" "I'm not sure, don't worry about that shit." He grabbed my hand leading us out to our separate cars. "So what is this 'celebration'?" He chuckled licking his juicy pink lips. "Just follow me ight?" He left going to his car leaving me in a daze. I unlocked my car door starting it up and doing as he said.
I rolled my windows down letting the wind attack my skin. I couldn't believe I was having twins, but I was also nervous. Two babies? On my first try? It just sounded funny. Melvin was happy about it which made me the same. I know he will be a great father to both of our children, maybe late twenties God will allow me to give him a baby girl.
He stopped pulling into this Mexican place, it was the same spot I've been begging him to go to. I excitedly turned off my car jumping out. "I knew this is where we were going!" I jumped up on him giving his meaningful kisses. "Mm, save that shit for tonight." He put me down slowly grabbing my hand. We grabbed the menus going to find us a seat, it was real nice here.
"So how you feeling?" I shrugged my shoulders smiling. "I mean I'm nervous but I'm happy. I just want everything to go okay, we are bringing in two new boys." He smiled grabbing my hand. "I know so call Chad and tell him to send all your work to the house. I'll let Tory know I'm taking off." I wanted to agrue but I sided against it because I knew I would pay for it in bed tonight.
The waitress came and took our orders and taking our menus. This was a new beginning and I was ready for it all .
Fresh but boring update☹️. I NEED IDEAS FOR ADRIAN & MELVIN. This book is dying because I just don't have serious drive for this book anymore honestly...
