Adrian's POV.

We were both in the bathroom rushing to get ready. He had an important meeting today and I just had work.

"Move your elbow man!" He complained trying to reach his toothbrush. "I'm about to burn your ass!" I held the flat iron up giving him a warning.

We argued for a good 30 minutes about the bathroom and who should wake up earlier than the other person.

"Now yknow waking up a extra 20 minutes ain't gone kill you shorty." Melvin was still talking as I put my name tag on my shirt. "This beauty takes time, you can't rush greatness." I said spinning around.

"Sure can't, looking nice back there." He bit down on his bottom lip. He can't just be normal I did something simple and he turns it into something nasty.

We exchanged kisses before getting in our cars going our separate ways.

Melvin's POV.

This meeting was real important for me. Adrian being extra ironed my whole fit, down to the socks. The meeting was a potential job offer to work for Apple of couse I wasn't going to pass that up.

I sat in the hallway feeling myself getting nervous. I looked around at the other people apply and they looked underdress. I guess all this extra shit was needed.

"Melvin Gregg?!" An old white woman came out calling names. "Yeah that's me." I smiled holding my hand out as she did the same. "Alright well Mr. Gregg Mr. Stone is ready to see you." I said a short prayer before entering the room.

Adrian's POV.

I was at work catching up on the tea from my coworker Jamar. He was messy and gay just like I like them.

"Bitch I heard they about to shut the store down cause Mrs. Tyra's checks been bouncing more than a stripper's ass." He said sipping his Starbucks.

I laughed out loud shaking my head. "A hehe my ass, bitch sooner or later we all gone have to get the fuck." He flipped his rainbow hair.

"As long as I get my money we cool." He laughed dapping me up. "Hell yeah, cause if she play with my money I'm play with that quick weave she got."

I laughed so hard at this boy it made my stomach hurt. "There she go, time to go, love you." He sped off to his station as I continued laughing. "Love you to boy."

"Hey Adrian." Mrs. Tyra hugged and kissed my cheek. "Hey." I smiled at her then back at Jamar cause he was pointing at her wig.

"I'm about to fire his messy ass." Mrs. Tyra snapped rolling her eyes at him as he did the exact same. I shook my head laughing. "Yall have always had this little rival between each other." I said stacking the gift cards back on the little shelf.

She shrugged,"true."

Melvin's POV.

"Thank you so much for coming and applying. I don't say this often but I have a good feeling this job is yours." The woman smiled handing me back my resume. I smiled nodding even more confident in myself.

I was on my way to meet Devin up here at Party City. If we were going to throw a Halloween party it was going to be right.

"Wassup bro!" He dapped me up. "Wassup with you nigga?" I asked laughing. Being nosey, I heard Jada and Adrian discussing their little situation.

"Maaan, ya' girl crazy son." He shook his head laughing. "She really keyed ya' shit my nigga." I laughed bending down rubbing my fingers across it.
