Seventeen

Bella's P.O.V

"Bella, wait right there," I stopped my tracks to look at my mom.

"Yeah?" I asked, stopping my tracks.

"One of your father's partners is hosting a party next Saturday and if you want, you can invite Collin," She said. 

"I can?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Didn't Xander invite Bianca to a party once?" I asked her. 

"And now they're almost married," Mom smiled at me. 

"I'll invite him," I told her. 

"Thank you."

By the time I got to school, I saw Collin by his locker. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him.

"Hello, cutie," I said. 

"Hi. How was your weekend?" Collin asked, turning to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist. Collin gave me a quick kiss.

"Good. Anyway, there's this business party next Saturday and I was wondering if you'd like to be my plus one," I told him. 

"Count me in," Collin smiled before giving me one more kiss.

"Hey, Bella. Nice punch," I heard someone say as they passed by me. I looked over and smiled.

"Thanks," I said. 

"How did your parents react to the video?" Collin asked.

"Grounded me for the weekend. My dad is clarifying to the press on my actions," I told him. 

"Always the feisty one," Collin smiled before walking with me to my first period.

"But you love me anyway," I told him.

"I do," Collin smiled before giving me a quick kiss. 

During lunch, I sat with Melody as we waited for the boys to come over. I was finishing up on a homework assignment until I heard some talking. I looked over to see Landon talking to Collin. Seth stood next to him, looking annoyed at Landon.

The next thing that happened, Landon shoved Collin. Melody and I ran over to the fight. 

"Collin, don't do fight him. He's not worth it," I told him.

"You shut your mouth you whore," Landon yelled. 

"Don't call her that you dick," Melody said angrily. 

"Yeah. She's a better person than you are," Seth said. 

"You know Landon, I bet that the reason you're only acting like this is because you're just jealous that Bella moved on," Collin said. 

"You little," Landon almost punched Collin but Collin quickly dodged it. I stared in surprise as he moved away quickly.

"Alright! Break it up!" The school security said. They took Landon and Collin away making me look over at Seth and Melody.

"I'm going to check on Collin," I said. 

"We'll come with," Melody said.

We grabbed our stuff and went to the principal's office. We waited outside for Collin to come out.

"I fell like this is my fault," I told them.

"It's not. It's more of Landon's fault than yours," Seth said. 

"He's right," Melody agreed.

Collin came out an hour later. When he did come out, I wrapped my arms around him tightly. 

"What happened?" Seth asked him.

"I'm off the hook but if I get into a fight or something like that, I get suspended," He told us.

"I'm so sorry. I feel like this is all my fault," I told him.

"It's not. It's alright. Come on," Collin said before we left.
