Chapter Twenty

"Blake are you awake?"

"Blake" Bennett whispered

"I am now" I said with my eyes still closed

"How do you feel?" He asked

"Tired" I said not really paying attention

"No I mean, how do you feel about staying?" He asked. I looked up at him and smiled

"I like it. I'm friends with Jr and getting closer to everyone else. Why? Do you not like it?" I asked worried he would want to leave

"No I do. It's just awkward around my mom and dad. Hell, I dont even call them that. I call them by there names" he said turning towards me

"Have you talked to them anymore since the neighborhood?"

"No. It's always quiet"

"Then start a conversation"

"About what?"

"Anything" I told him

"I guess. Laura told me why she isnt dead" he stated

"Oh really?" I asked playing dumb like I had no clue what happened

"Yeah. I know you know" he said looking at me

"It wasnt my place to tell" it wasnt

"I know. I'm not mad or anything" he said

"So you and Jr are getting pretty close" he said with a hint of jealousy

"Yeah we are"

"Do you like him?" I just laughed

"Goodnight Bennett" I said closing my eyes with Ever snuggling closer to me

"Blake. Answer the questioned?" I justed stayed silent

"Bla-" Bennett started

"Dude shut up" Conner whispered yelled

"You shut up" Bennett said back whispering

"No, you shut up" Conner said again whispering

"No, you sh-"

"Will the both of you shut the fuck up" I whispered yelled

"Watch your language" Laura whispered yelled too

"Sorry" I said going back to sleep, with Bennett and Conner snickering at me

It was now day light and we decided to stay another night at the cabin. I hadn't moved since I got here, surprisingly the mattress was comfortable. I was laying on my back with Ever sitting on my stomach playing with my hair.

Bennett, Maddie and Jr were on the floor playing with a deck of cards Conner found in the cabinets. Jr and Laura were with me and Ever.

Jr sat near my head leaning his back against the wall with his feet on his moms lap who was at the end sitting. They were talking about something and I didnt focus on what is was, I was to busy playing with Ever.

"What do you think Blake?" Luara asked

"Do what?" I asked confused

"I think you should cut your hair to your shoulders, but keep the bangs. You look adorable with them" Jr said in which it made me laugh

"I think we should just trim the edges. But I do agree, the bangs make you look adorable" Laura said agreeing and disagreeing

"What do you think?" Jr asked
