Chapter Twenty One

"Bennett you shouldn't have" I said staring at the object in my hand

"It screamed your name" Bennett said

"Its lovely. It will go with my outfit" I said putting it on

"How does it look?" I asked fixing my hair

"Makes your head smaller" he said snickering

"Hey!" I said smacking him in the arm

He just snickered "but really. I love it"

"When I were looking through one of the houses back there, the white beanie stood out" he said remembering it

"How do I look?" I asked fixing my hair more

"Beautiful as I always say" I laughed

"Thanks"

Then it was quiet. There was still snow out, it seemed it had snowed over night since I couldn't see the grass anymore. I was looking down at my boots when I saw another pair of boots in front of me .

I looked up and raised and eyebrow at Bennett "what-" I started

He then grabbed my face and kissed me. I was taken back for a minute, then kissed him back. It was cold out. But man was that kiss warm. I melted into his arms.

His lips were surprisingly soft, like he keeps chapstick on all the time. I grabbed onto his shirt pulling him more towards me, forgetting I was on a swing.

I lend back a little and then fell into my back pulling Bennett with me. As we landed on the ground we started to laugh. I lifted my hand to pull my beanie down since it was falling off.

After I stopped laughing I looked at him to see he was already looking at me.

"I've never had a kiss like that" he said

"Have you even kissed anyone?" I said laughing

"What? You think I haven't? Am I that bad at kissing?" He said

"Well..." i said joking, making the L long

"Shut up and kiss me"

"Okay" I said

He lend down and we started to kiss. I smiled through the kiss, feeling like I was about to laugh again. It was weird because I felt shy around him in this moment. And I am not a shy person.

The kiss soon ended when we heard a group of 'awes'. I knew everyone was looking, so I pushed Bennett off of me and stood up quick dusting my self off and fixing my hair.

"What a beautiful day. Wouldn't you guys say?" I said acting like I was looking around

"That's my son!" Maddie yelled with Conner following along with him

Ever was jumping up and down, Jr was clapping his hands together and Laura was smiling at us, but trying to get them inside.

I looked over at Bennett to see him smiling and giving them a thumbs up. I guess that's what him and his dad talked about, me. He looked over at me winking with a smirk on his face. 

I rolled my eyes walking to the cabin "rube that smirk off your face" I said

"All you you baby!" He yelled at me

I just smiled walking to the cabin. So many thoughts were going through my head. Everyone was still at the door cheering Bennett on.

I stepped onto the the first step then the second, and of course I fell backwards onto my back. Everyone started laughing at me as Laura came down the stairs slowly coming to help me
