»Chapter 12«

I woke up to my alarm. Wait, no. I didn't even set an alarm! I jolted out of bed to see what the heck it was. I looked over at Shawn's phone buzzing and making that annoying alarm clock sound. I walked over and turned it off. Today was the day we were leaving. Shawn rolled over in his bed. I walked over and got in the bed with him. He opened his eyes and smiled.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"It's too early." I whined.

He laughed and pulled me close to him.

"I'm not ready to leave.." I admitted.

"Why?" Shawn asked.

"I'm going to miss Nash." I said.

"Nash?!" he sounded shocked.

"I mean... Uh.." I mentally face palmed myself.

"Is that why you were down there with him after breakfast?" he asked. "You didn't even call Savanna, did you?"

"No..." I felt guilty.

"What about Matt?" he sounded super confused.

"That's the problem, Shawn. I like both of them. I didn't know what to do! I broke up with Matt so there wasn't more problems, but then Nash pulled me back so we could talk..." I explained.

"Aw, Bailey. Why didn't you tell me?" he asked.

"I was scared you were going to freak out." my voice cracked.

"You're my best friend. There's no way you could make me mad." he said and kissed me on the cheek.

"We should get up." I said.

I got out of his bed and walked over to my suitcase. I didn't feel like getting all
dressed up. I mean we are only going home. I pulled out a pair of black legging and a maroon long sleeve shirt. I ran to the bathroom and changed. I decided to just got natural and wear no makeup. I threw my hair up in a messy bun and went out of the bathroom. I went over to my suitcase and pulled out my maroon vans. I probably had a pair of vans in every color. I slipped them on and was ready to go. Once Shawn was done changing, we made sure everything was packed up. I sighed.

"You okay?" Shawn asked coming by my side and hugging me.

"Do we have to leave?" I pouted.

"Yes, but don't worry. I'm sure you'll see them again." he said.

"I hope." I sighed.

"Let's go say bye to the guys." he insisted.

I nodded.

We went over to Matt's room and knocked on the door. They let us in. I saw Matt and tried to not let any tears fall. That's when I remembered something I had promised Savanna! I promised her that's I'd set her and Taylor up and I'd get a picture and video with him. I saw Taylor and walked up to him.

"Hey, come outside for a few minutes." I whispered in his ear.

Quickly, he got up. I saw Matt clench his jaw.

"What are you doing?" Shawn asked.

I just shook my head saying just trust me. We walked outside and I closed the door behind us.

"So you made up your mind!" he smiled and grabbed my hips closing the space between us.

He was about to kiss me, but I put my hand up. He pulled back and looked confused. I removed his hands from my hips and pulled out my phone.

"No. Actually, I think you'll like my friend way more than me." I pulled up a picture of her and showed him.

"She's smokin' hot!" he said.

"How would you like it if I set you up on a date?" I asked.

"That'd be awesome! I could kiss you!" he exclaimed.

I raised an eyebrow at that.

"But I won't.." he said.

"One more thing! She wanted me to get a picture and video with you." I said.

I gave him my phone and we took selfies. Then he pressed the record button.

"I can't wait to meet you, and I hope you're excited for our date!" he said to the camera.

After that, we went back inside. I saw next to Matt and leaned my head on his shoulder. It was silent. I was enjoying the last few minutes I had with him.

"I think it's time to go, Bailey. We have to check out in five minutes." Shawn broke the silence.

I nodded and got up.

"We'll meet y'all down there." Cameron said.

Shawn and I went back to our room. I got my suitcase and made sure I took my small, over the shoulder, black purse. I put my phone in it and hung it on the side of my suitcase. We rolled out suitcases down the hall and into the elevator. We reached the first floor and sat at a table. Soon, everyone was grouped together in the lobby. We all checked out. That's when we all started to say our goodbyes.

I hugged the Jacks first because they had to get back and record more music. They put their numbers in my phone so we could keep contact. Aaron and Carter put their numbers in too and left.

"Alright. I'm heading out!" Taylor announced.

I went up and gave him a hug.

"Don't for get about the date. I'll text you the details!" I held out my phone for him to put his number in.

He did, and I gave him one last hug. He left, and it was just Shawn, Matt, Nash, Cameron, Hayes, and me.

"I'll wait for you guys in the car." Cameron said.

I guessed Nash and Hayes had rode with him. Cameron put his number in my phone. They all passed my phone around putting their numbers in it. I put it back in my purse when I got it back. Cameron gave me one last hug and walked to his car.

"Well then, I guess that means we better head out." Nash said.

I gave him a hug, and he kissed me on the cheek. Hayes did the same.

"I'll be expecting a text from you sometime soon." Hayes winked.

We both laughed, and him and Nash headed out. That left Matt, Shawn, and me.

"I'll see ya later, bro." Matt said to Shawn.

"Alright, dude." Shawn said.

They hugged. Shawn patted Matt on the back and then looked at his phone. Matt walked up to me. He grabbed my hands. We looked into each other's eyes. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I wiped it off quickly. He gave me a small half smile.

"We'll see each other soon." he said.

I nodded and looked at the floor.

"I'm going to miss you." my voice cracked.

"I'm going to miss you too. You can always call or text me whenever you want." he lifted my chin.

He puts his hands on my hips, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. We both leaned in. The way I felt about Nash was nothing compared to how I felt about Matt. He pulled me closer, deepening the kiss. When he pulled away, I looked at the floor. He hugged me.

"I have to go..." he said.

I nodded and walked over to Shawn who was still looking at his phone. He looked up and put his arm around my shoulder. I watched as Matt walked out of the lobby. Shawn and I took our suitcases to the car. We out everything in the back of the car. Before I had a chance to walk to the front, someone spun me around. It was Matt! He pulled me into a kiss. Finally, he pulled away.

"I love you, Bailey." he looked into my eyes.

"I love you too, Matt." I smiled.

"Come on, Bailey!" I heard Shawn call.

"You better get going..." I said.

He nodded his head. He started to walk away, and he looked back. I waved. He waved back and smiled. I got in the car, and we were headed home.
