»Chapter 15«

My eyes flew open, and I screamed. Right after, Matt burst into my room and came to my side. I started to cry.

"What's wrong?" he asked worriedly.

"No!" I shouted and cried even harder.

He picked me up, and I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I cried into his shirt.

"Shhh." he tried to calm me down.

"C- ca- call, S- Shawn." I managed to say.

"O- okay." Matt grabbed my phone that was on the end table and dialed Shawn's number. "Shawn you need to come over right now!"

There was a pause.

"Bailey needs you! Please, just hurry!" Matt sounded so scared.

Soon, Savanna was in my room. She was trying to talk to me, but I didn't hear anything she was saying. I couldn't stop crying, and it was blocking out any other sound. Taylor and Shawn were in the room shortly after. Matt handed me over to Shawn.

"Shhh..." I heard Shawn's calm voice.

We were the only ones left in the room. I lifted my head from his shoulder. My breathes were short and choppy. Shawn moved loose pieces of hair from my face. I noticed his shirt was wet from my tears.

"You're okay." he wiped a loose tear off my cheek.

"S- Shawn..." I was trying to calm my breathing.

"Yes, Bailey?" he asked.

"Wi- will you stay here?" I asked.

"I will stay as long as you need me to." he said.

I didn't want Matt. I just wanted Shawn. I mean, yea, Matt was my boyfriend. Shawn made everything better, though. He was always there before, so just because I got a boyfriend doesn't mean they will replace Shawn. I'm sure Matt understood that too. I sat with Shawn until the sun came up. I wasn't too sure how long that was.

"Are you all okay now?" he asked.

I nodded. My tears were all dried up, and I felt better now that Shawn was there. Shawn and I walked downstairs. Matt was pacing back and forth. Savanna was hugging Taylor. When Matt saw me, he stopped pacing and ran up and hugged me.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" he sounded so relieved.

Savanna came up behind Matt. She nudged him, and he moved away. I could tell she had been crying because her eyes were red. She hugged me tight.

"You scared me to death!" she whispered in my ear.

I pulled out of the hugged and backed up to where Shawn was. I looked up at him. Then I gave him a big hug.

"Everything's okay now." he rubbed my back.

"I know. I'm glad you came." I whispered.

I pulled out of the hug and looked at Matt. He was looking at the floor. Was he upset that I went to Shawn and not him?

"I'm gonna head back home.." Shawn broke the silence.

I waved, and he went out the door. Matt still refused to look at me. Savanna and Taylor had moved to the couch. I walked up to Matt. I lifted his chin and kissed him. He didn't kiss back, and I knew something was wrong. He pulled away. I gave him a confused look.

"Can we talk? Upstairs?" I asked.

I walked upstairs. He followed. We went in my room, and I shut the door behind us.

"What was that about?" I asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about." he said.

"You refused to look at me and then you don't kiss me!" I raised my voice a little.
