»Chapter 13«

just got in their home town)

"There's the sign!" I shouted and pointed out the window to the sign.

"Yup. Almost home." Shawn said.

Soon after, we pulled into our neighborhood. We got to my house and pulled into the driveway. I unlocked the door while Shawn got my suitcase. He helped me take it up the stairs to my room. It was good to be home.

"Do you want to stay for a while?" I asked.

"Yea, sure." he replied.

We say in the living room, on the couch. He had his arm around me, and my head was on his shoulder. We decided to watch movies for the rest of the day. We both fell asleep on the couch.

(the next morning)

I woke up next to Shawn on the couch. I was starving. The only thing I ate last night was popcorn. I got up and went to the kitchen. I got out my phone and searched Pinterest for a quit and easy pancake recipe. Finally, I found one. I started to make the pancakes when Shawn walked up and hugged me from behind. I smiled and kept trying to make the pancakes. He kissed my cheek.

"Smells good." he said.

"Thanks." I laughed.

Once they were ready, we sat at the table and ate. When we were done, he helped me clean up. The counters were a mess. Every time I cooked, there would always end up being a mess. He helped me wipe down the counters and wash the dishes.

"I think I'm gonna head out." he announced.

"Alright. Call me later." I said and hugged him.

He waved and headed out the door. A few minutes after he left, there was a knock at the door. I made my way too the door and opened it.

"SAVANNA!" I yelled and jumped on her.

"I missed you so much!" she screamed.

"Do you want to spend the night, so we can talk more?" I asked.

"Yes!" she exclaimed.

"Come in!" I laughed.

We both walked inside and sat on the couch. I told her about what happened yesterday. Nothing too weird. That's when I remembered the video and the date I'd promised. I quickly took out my phone and showed her the video.

"YOU GOT ME A DATE WITH THE TAYLOR CANIFF?" she screamed.

"YES!" I screamed back.

"AHHHH!" she stood up on the couch and started jumping up and down.

She pulled me up too, so we were both jumping up and down like little kids. Finally, I made her calm down. We both sat back on the couch. She wouldn't stop smiling.

"So, wait, are you and Matt a thing again or what?" she asked still smiling.

"It's not official... but I'm pretty sure Nash is off the list." I tried to explain.

"So you are with Matt?" she asked.

"Not with him, but I know we definitely both like each other." she was making me so confused.

"What makes you think you don't like Nash?" she asked so many questions.

"Nash's kisses aren't like Matt's. When I kissed Matt, I felt something that I didn't with Nash." I explained.

"Ooh! That's spicy!" she quirked her eyebrow.

"Savanna!" I laughed. "You and Taylor are spicy together!"
